Q: after your comments on the departure of their CFO I jumped in near yesterdays low. After reviewing your previous comments I have a feeling that this purchase should be traded (and not held as a long term investment.)
May I have your outlook for this stock?

According to portfolio analytics, I am underweight in Consumer Staples and Consumer Discretionary as well as US exposure. I am a growth investor with a long-term horizon. This is for a TFSA.

In Consumer Staples I hold ATD.B and PBH and was thinking of adding COST.US.

In Consumer Discretionary I have ATZ, BOYD, DOO, LULU.US and was thinking of adding MG and possibly LNF.

Could you suggest some Canadian and US names for both Staples and Discretionary that would compliment my existing holdings?

Q: Good morning, thoughts on the Q4 from DTEA and thier transition from bricks and mortar to an online retailer.
Once the CCAA is settled what do you see as a reasonable multiple on this type of business, considering thier online revenue growth rate was close to 100% year over year. Do retailers who garner the majority of thier revenue online command better multiples than traditional bricks and mortar businesses?

TD just redeemed preferred TD.PF.G. What is your opinion of investing in preferreds with where we are in the interest rate game { ie I am assuming a slight slow gradual increase - TD must think the same thing }. I realize they are for income only and do you think rate resets are the way to go? . Please give me few recommendations.

Q: I am sure this question has been asked before. As a general rule of the thumb that stocks, and etfs should be held in various accounts.

CAD Cash
US Cash
RSP
TFSA

I think I know that US Dividend payers should be in RSP, Growth in TFSA, but do you have a high level how to best allocate various types of Stock assets for Cad, US, and International, along with sector allocation or divend?

I haven't seen a question on ABBV's latest earnings, so if you've answered already, please ignore this one. If not, can you review their latest quarter and particularly the discussion on drugs in the pipeline? I'm considering adding to about a 2% position.

Further to Dave’s question on Jan 22/21, can you please add ClearField Inc (CLFD) to your database.
The recent quarter appeared to handily beat again, can they continue their impressive growth rates going forward and specifically, post pandemic? Would you start an initial (⅓) position? Is there anything concerning in their financials (P/E, etc) that would make you cautious? The Q2 release mentioned possible supply chain issues in the near term, is this concerning to you?
Given the higher Cdn $ these days it seems like a good time to buy some US stocks.

My other choice is Abcellera (ABCL) which has fallen quite a bit in the last 3 months. Any specific reason for the decline other than vaccines are more widely available/distributed.? Any preference between these two? I don’t own either stock currently.

Q: Can you explain what's happening to SHOP. Blowout quarter, stock immediately shoots up over 10% and now its tanking. I can see some profit taking but is there more here?
