Q: Pardon my logic (or lack thereof as it 5:40 am). I did a comparative chart of Shop and AMZN for a period of 1 year and 3 months. Over those two time periods SHOP is up 197% and 65 %, respectively while AMZN is up 21% and 24% over these two respective time periods. I am using the G&M watchlist.
If there is a hint of logic in Shop's share price would that not make AMZN a screaming buy?

Q: I'm thinking of moving two stocks from my non-registered account across to my TFSA. My question is whether this transfer between two accounts is likely to trigger tax liability from CRA. At the moment, there is neither any measurable capital gain or capital loss for the two stocks in the non-registered account.

Q: I own REI.UN and SRU.UN

Today I noted, from my broker's notes, that although FCR.UN was able to collect 70% of the gross rents for the month of April, REI.Un and SRU.UN collected much less at 54% and 64% respectively.
Is it advisable to sell REI.UN and SRU.UN and buy FCR.UN ? Will this reduce risks related to Covis 19?
Thanks

at, Total Debt to Equity : 1.95 . would the amount of preferred outstanding be on the numerator or the denominator side of the ratio.
Thank you

Q: Good afternoon. Buy and hold investor. Currently hold 20% XUU, 15% VIU, 5% VEE in portfolio as my non-Canadian equity holdings. What would the pros and cons be of selling them and putting it all in to XAW, and would you recommend such a move? I only re-balance once a year as it is. Thanks for your reply.

Q: Are you believer's that there will be a double bottom? I am seeing mixed comments on this. Obviously I know you cannot predict the future, but wondering what the likelihood would be of testing the lows seen in March. What rationale do you have for your thoughts?

Thanks so much for your wisdom, expertise, and sound advice as it continues to help me navigate these uncharted waters.

Q: One thing I have noticed and wondering if this is just coincidence?
Stocks in your portolios and research reports such as DSG, REAL, KXS, ENGH are all doing well and near all time highs because they have great balance sheets and no long term debt?
On the other hand, stocks like DOO, GSY, CAE, MTY all are down over 50% because they have a considerable amount of debt?
The only exception on this is LSPD which is down over 50% with no long term debt?
Any reason why LSPD hasn't kept up with the others? Is all this because we do not know how long this virus will last and the market is punishing stocks who have lots of debt since they might have trouble covering them?
