Q: Regarding Ivan's Mar. 28 question about these ADR's: They are all UK domiciled corporations, and the UK has no tax on dividends. Therefore there is no dividend withholding tax, even in a non-registered account. This is one of the reasons I prefer to hold ADR's of UK-headquartered stocks for foreign content - I currently can't make use of the foreign tax credit. (BTI is another one.)

Q: Hi Peter & 5i, The above ADR's trade on US Exchanges among others,
whose dividends are passed on to Canadian investors without the dreadful withholding tax, even in taxable accounts. How would you rate them from good to not so good. Also your input on these and others that you can think of, would be appreciated. As always thanks for the great service. Ivan

Q: In the healthcare sector I hold ABBV, BMY, MDT, AZN and CVS. Am looking to swap one out for a growth/value holding, perhaps in Industrials (maybe LMT?). Was thinking AZN would be my odd one out. Would appreciate your thoughts on best approach for long term buy and hold portfolio given the 5 holdings noted here. Thanks.

Q: We purchased ARCT at $105 US and it has dropped 50% due to underwhelming results.
It jumped 10% yesterday. Should we consider dollar cost averaging?
How would you rank the vaccine stocks in terms of growth?
Thanks for a great year.

Q: AstraZeneca has approval for its vaccine which apparently has easier storage and transportability than its competitors vaccines. Also will be cheaper and therefore more available to the third world.
Your thoughts please on this company as an investment; they are of course involved in many other pharmaceuticals than just vaccines.
Many thanks
Happy New Year
Peter

Q: I have these 4 stocks, purchased higher than they are trading now, is there any hope they will go back up or should I just sell at a loss and take the hit? I was wondering if they may go back up with good earnings?

Q: I HAVE HELD THESE STOCKS FOR ALMOST YEAR AND A HALF, HOPING THE STOCKS WILL MOVE UP AS THE VACCINES BECOME AVAILABLE. I FIND THAT NONE OF THESE STOCKS HAVE MOVED UP EXCEPT VEEV, AND THAT TOO MARGINALLY. SHOULD I KEEP THESE STOCKS OR SELL THEM AND USE THE MONEY FOR OTHER PROMISING TECH STOCKS. THANKS

Q: Good morning, I have a watch-list of vaccines, but it seemed like such a gamble in the past months, I didn't invest in any. Now that some are successful, I would like to have a position in at least one company. I've named a few above, but there are more. With the goal of growth in the next 1-2 years, which one or two "vaccine" stocks would you choose, and what percentage of the portfolio would you suggest as investment size. Thank-you.

Q: Hi folks,

Which Cdn and US companies would you consider buying now in relation to their assistance (equipment, internet services, food services, etc...) or solution (vaccines, drugs, etc...) or potential in view of the Covid-19 crisis and why ? Take credits as you see fit.

Please keep yourselves safe,

Q: Healthcare is approximately 10% of our portfolio. Medical Facilities is the largest investment which we have held for a long time. JNJ and HCP we have added more recently. NVS and AZN we inherited. We want to simplify our portfolio and plan to sell NVS and AZN and add to JNJ. Wonder what your opinion is of DR and HCP specifically and also AZN which I didn't see mentioned in your question section.
Thank you, Marie
