Q: I wonder why this stock dropped so much on Friday's trading, earning related or SVB related? Thanks.

Q: Hi there,
Is the collapse of SIVB an isolated event, or do you think its an indication or something larger happening under the hood of the financial markets? Is it possible that this could lead to a huge market correction to the downside across all sectors?
Thanks!

Q: With whats happening in the markets currently with CM's admission of mortgage issues with SIVB debacle, rising rates, volatility etc could be the beginning of a big mess in the Financial services sector.
Although long term you are bullish on 4 of the 5 names do you think it would be prudent from a risk aversion viewpoint to step aside on these names and wait till things settle?
Can you also please comment especially on EQB and GSY and their outlook/risks in this cyclone.
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: Hi 5i, I imagine when trading resumes that there'll be another large drop. What would you do? Thx.
Q: Has fallen off a cliff. Have checked all the reports and nothing seems "wrong". Could you shed some light on this? Thanks Ron
Q: Although I don't have a question I thought it very interesting that the CEO bought a considerable amount of DSG stock recently.
President & Chief Operating Officer John Scott Pagan bought stocks of The Descartes Systems Group (DSGX) for C$3,252,281.

Q: There are many questions and recommendations regarding safe places to put cash these days and US treasuries..
Risks investing in US TREASURIES
A question was asked the other day about UTWO. Part of your answer mentioned a 4.9% yield. Very appealing. Tempting to buy.
But as a holder of UTWO are you guaranteed your capital at the end of two years ?
I am under the impression they trade more like bond etfs vs GIC’S here in Canada.
Can you clarify that please.
And given the volatility of the market how risky are these T bills?
Is there a way to buy them and be guaranteed your capital at the end of the designated time period.
Thank you.

Q: Not sure which entity in the Brookfield group walked away from a loan obligation nor do I know the details. They along with PIMCO and Blackstone were mentioned on Bloomberg Wall Street week as entities that did this. I am very concerned about this. Could you share any details you might have on this.
Q: Do any Canadian banks have any direct relationship with SIVB that could affect their health and welfare?

Q: Hi, what do you think of these names to take advantage of the pullback in the financial sector due to the SVB bust? Or would you just stick with JPM and BAC? I realize that not all these banks are exactly comparable. Thanks,

Q: Hi 5i, can I please have your opinion on their latest quarter and year end results? If you had a chance to listen in on this mornings CC, and comments of forward guidance would be welcome also.
Thx.

Q: Hi there, with the failure of SVB, many regionals have also been sold off, possibly unjustifiably. Do you see any current opportunities in the space that seem like good buys? SCHW comes to mind but wondering your thoughts or if there are any others that look good here.

Q: Hi
In looking at the big 5 Cdn banks, it is easy to think they are all being somewhat affected by the SVB shut down, or pressure on US regional banks...or is that jumping to a far fetched conclusion? I see that the Cdn banks have been marching steadily lower lately and have started to wonder whether this is sector related or a fundamental change occurring. Although this may be a bit early in the game, at what point would you feel the Cdn banks are excellent bargains, or is that too optimistic a view of the Cdn banking system, vs the US's regional banking system? As always, I greatly appreciate your thoughts on this!

Q: PFE’s stock value has been declining. Do you have any insight as to what cause that?
Thanks,

Thanks,

Q: Would you add? Current yield and price seem attractive if reaction to the SVB run was over done.

Q: In layman's English, could you explain why SVB went under and whether it will cause any lasting damage to Cdn Banks...and are there any Cdn banks you would add to today? Thanks, great service.
Q: Can you please comment on the breaking news after hours of the Roku cash deposits at SVB, particularly those that may be uninsured and what this means for Roku going forward. Please provide any updated opinion on Roku as a result of this developing story.
Q: Being a one time owner of SVB some time ago, now I read I am involved with them again as ROKU dropped from 70ish to 50ish over the last few days. I find out that is their bank. I imagine there are a few other tech stocks I have that bank with them. Are we in a lot of trouble for the next while? Your thoughts are appreciated.
Q: WELL bought Circle Medical out of Silicon Valley. How exposed do you believe WELL is to the SVB banking collapse ?
Thank You for you great efforts during these unpredictable times

Q: Hi, The Economist mentions in a recent article that ROKU reported that it held $487 million at SVB in a Mar 10th regulatory filing. I've sort of guessed that might be about 25% of ROKU's cash, based on number of outstanding shares and cash held per share listed on Finviz.com. Would that be a fair assumption? If so, what effect do you see this having on ROKU's share prices in the next while? I'm expecting to see them drop once the news gets out, but do not know how this might affect their overall business fundamentally or longer term. Can they withstand such a hit, if it comes down to a write off? I've listed this question as private, thinking I don't wish to add to market fears - but if you feel it would serve the 5i community best as a public question, feel free to open it up.
With continued appreciation for your sage advice, I look forward to your thoughts on this.
