Q: I’m looking for some niche type ETF’s that would have companies that supply electrical parts,/equipment suppliers for the electrical infrastructure build that many people are suggesting is coming. It would possibly hold companies like WIRE.
Also if there is an ETF that would contain companies that will benefit from the large data centres that AI companies will require to be built. This ETF would hold companies like FIX.
If there are none than maybe you could drop a few names under each category. HPS.A has been a great find. Thank you. Looking for others in the same field.

Q: I hold both of these and I realize it's difficult to compare an ETF to a single stock I was thinking of selling one and putting it in the other. My thought process was once the war is over the Ukraine will need a lot of help in therefore the ETF. Considering my age being 73 what would you suggest
.

Q: Could provide an opinion on these ETF - ZDY/ZGI - read a Morningstar report on each and their opinion is they are underperforming peers.
Can you provide examples of better performing ETFs to replace them.
Thanks

Q: After environmental calamities in California and Texas I often think about the financial risk that infrastructure projects have from climate change. In California this seems to be a perennial risk that will return and is predictable, but Texas' cold snap was a good warning that they can happen anywhere.
I also seem to recall that utilities had to swallow some poorly organized derivative risk during the 2008 financial crisis.
Finally: the Biden government appears quite aggressive with its intention to eliminate all GHG related power production.
My question is: for a business that operates with high leverage and large scale projects that are slow to change and long to pay off, and high sensitivity to climatic shock, are these risks reasonably accounted for in their current pricing; is diversification a suitable means of diluting risk (across the sector), and finally are there more US or international choices such as ETFs that you would recommend over a Canadian centric etf (appreciating that the Canadian companies are somewhat international)?

thank you,
Peter

Q: My full service advisor has suggested I sell passive ETF's ZDY, ZGI & VDU and buy active fund Capital Goup Global International Equity (CIF 843). The passive holdings have no trailing commission the active fund does. But it seems the active fund performance is much better? Could please give me your opinion if this would be advisable - thanks for your usual great advice.

Q: I have positions in each of these ETF's inside my RRSP. Am I paying witholding taxes on any of them? If so - What is the tax treatment if I held them in my TFSA? Also what would the tax treatment be for each if held in my non-registered account?

Q: Goodmorning
I have a 1% position in ZGI and a 3% position in BIP.UN I am thinking of selling ZGI and using the proceeds to invest in BIP.UN in an effort to cut down on the number of positions I have in the total portfolio I am wondering what your thoughts would be with such a move?

Q: Hi 5i team,

As infrastructure in various countries are now in an expansion/renewal phase, infrastructure stocks may be the new 'utility' stocks of the future. I currently already owned BIP.un. Given the current market conditions, please recommend some Canadian or US listed infrastructure stocks or ETFs that are worth investing in now. Thanks

Q: Of the two ETf's as listed above would you comment on the timing and prospects for these ETF's in the current economic environment with both the US and Canadian governments emphasis on infrastructure spending. With thanks, Bill
