Q: Do you feel that CSE and NEO pose any kind of threat to TMX dominance both near term and more importantly long term? Increasingly I’m noticing more and more companies exclusively listed on either CSE or NEO especially ETFs. I ask because TMX seems to be range bound for quite some time now and was wondering if the growing presence of these new exchanges perhaps have investors concerned especially after the recent takeover of NEO by a larger American company with significant financial resources.
Q: Hi 5i,
It’s been a while since a question on VIAC. Over the past week or so, I have seen several analysts turn positive on VIAC for 2022. It is viewed as cheap on a PE and PS basis. Analysts say it has a lot of content which is really undervalued by the market and that its streaming service has good potential. It does have a lot of debt.
That’s those guys. What are your current views?
Q: Recently, Jim Balsillie has purchased a substantial number of shares and analysts seem to think this stock has some upside. I know you are not big on analyst price forecasts, but certainly seems to have a positive outlook from them. Can I have your take?
Q: Happy New Year - The Globe just featured MDA on an insider buy and many analysts estimating a very large increase in revenues per share over the next year. What do you think about MDA? Good entry price at present or unlikely to hit the revenue forecasts? Many thanks. Al
I have a question about data entry of 'cost basis'. Do I input the cost per share, or the cost of all the shares? For instance, if I put down that I have 2 shares of XYZ and I purchased each share for $50.00, do I put $50.00, or $100.00 in the 'cost basis' column?
Q: Hi Team,
Following the CSU model, if TOI does not issue new shares to finance acquisitions and its cash flow was negative at the end of its 3rd quarter, do they finance acquisitions solely with debt? Thanks
Q: I have 3 securities (TOI, GSY, WSP) in my TFSA (in approximately the same amounts), and have added $6000 cash to that brokerage account for 2022. Would it seem reasonable to add to each of the 3 positions with the newly added cash, or would you feel I should prefer one or the other security(ies) among the 3?
Q: What do you think of Atmofizer Technologies? It's around 200M market cap and it seems to have some innovative technology in the air filtration space that it's showcasing at the CES in Vegas starting today.
I have ENB and PPL as my energy holdings. I am looking to add another, this time in the RRSP a/c.
Could you give me one name on the tsx , with perhaps a higher correlation to crude prices?
Regards
Rajiv
Q: good morning- your thoughts on TMUS. It has dropped a lot over the past six months and is the only one of Citibanks top ten choices for both value and growth. Time to buy or stay on the sidelines. I could use more telecom and have a whack of Telus. thanks. al
My trading account offers an option to make TFSA contributions in cash or stocks. Is there a downside to contributing in stock? I'm wondering if this will require tax being paid on the gain that I've already had.
Q: i see that trade desk received an upgrade from jeffries friday a.m.
will this help acuity or is it irrelevant.
the other thing the january bounce from tax loss selling does not seem to be happening.
i get it tech stocks are under the gun and small cap tech even more.
i know its cheap cheap cheap especially when compared to trade desk.
are you sticking with acuity.
