Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I'm interested in adding either one of WCN or BYD.UN to my RRSP account for a five year hold. Basically I'm not that keen about the yield, but growth is the emphasis. Which one of these two would you recommend under that circumstance?

Thanks for your insight.

Q: Looking at investing in these Canadian companies paying US $ dividends for a non registered account to help with my snowbird expenses.
Would be 15% of total stock/bond portfolio of mainly banks, utilities, reits, pipelines. Age 69.
Appreciate your opinion on these. Any others?
Would you equal weight or what individual % would you allocate? Any other thoughts?
Thanks. Derek

Q: I have a pretty nice gain on WCN in my TFSA. I am thinking about selling it and buying CP. My main reasoning is that WCN is nearly trading at twice the valuation of CP. WCN is probably less volatile but CP, I think, is forecasted to have greater eps growth in 2019.

What do you think ?

Thanks.

John
