Q: Do you have a sense of the liability potential for EIX with regard to California wildfires? EIX share price has recovered significantly from Jun of last year and I am within 1.5% of breakeven. What would you recommend to the 'income investors' in the group? Buy, sell, hold? If "sell", what would you replace it with?
Q: I own both BEP and BEPC in my US Dollar TFSA.
Is the price action generally the same for both?
Would you expect total return to be the same (incl. taxes)?
If yes, which one would choose to consolidate and keep?
Many thanks.
Q: Just wondering what your thoughts are on MBSF (Regan Floating Rate MBS ETF). It was noted on BNN this morning. Is the dividend of 4.62% correct and is it safe ? Any red flags with this one ?
Q: Patience is wearing thin on some of these names, they just continue to have negative momentum and I don't want to sell into the negativity and sell just because others are selling. What are your thoughts? Are fundamentals still strong in these quality companies? Is your updated view still a hold on these? Thanks!
Q: Hi 5i, Can I have your opinion on "Scandium Canada Ltd" , is this true: Scandium is now officially a Critical Mineral in Canada Government-backed equity-like royalty.

I am not sure if you had a chance to look at the article in this morning's Globe and Mail on top 10 Canadian Gold stocks at reasonable valuation. (Wednesday Jan 28th).
I was surprised to see your favorites like ARIS missing. Also no WDO.
What is your take on this list.
(I am happy customer/owner of ARIS:))
Should I add BTO and TXG for a good measure?
Q: you recently referenced an article on ca.investing.com which i quite liked.
Is that news source one of your favorites?
They seem to have a nice blend of Canadian and US articles...
Q: I normally use DLR to convert currency between CAD and USD. Can you suggest a dual listed stock that might be a better replacement. (price not likely to change, no dividend, good liquidity etc.)
You suggested these names as great small caps for growth.
Cudos to you but YTD ENS is +22% and +80% 1 year. KRMN is +54% YTD and VOYG is +30% YTD.
This is extraordinary performance congrats. Given these outsized short term gains what would your purchase strategy be today if you do not own them. Buy at market, wait for a pull back, average in etc etc?
Q: Interesting to hear about AMRQ. Apparently they now own the Black Angel mine which I last heard of some time in the 1970’s. I had asked my father about it then and it’s 7% divided. He replied the mine must be struggling and the high dividend was being used to keep investors interested. Shortly thereafter the mine closed down. I also recall the mine used gondolas to transport the ore from the mine site to the dock. Sounds expensive! AMRQ has been publicly listed since January 20, 2026, not quite a week and already has a 1B capitalization. Is Mr. Sprott a shareholder? Mining procedures can change in 50 years and possibly the costs to extract the ore can lessen and the mine be made profitable. Modern survey methods may also have discovered new metal targets. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. I think the Black Angel ore body is just one aspect of the company’s targets.
Q: My son ( Mech. Eng.) Has held STX for quite a while and others in the tech. sector. He is telling me to buy this stock.
What do you think?
STX: follow-up to my question on STX - they seem to have a lot of debt; buy very high ROE which tells me they are making a fair bit of money. Comment please.
Q: I own both BRK.b and V in my RSP and TFSA and see their relative strength both peaked at last year's market bottom along with the safety trade in general. Do you feel the markets are more risk-on these days to the point where I should let V go for something more "aggressive" in the financial space while keeping the diversity of BRK.b? Thanks!
