Q: High growth stocks. A recent NP piece by Peter H. advised investors consider these vs. conservative picks coming out of a bear market. "Stocks that used to be 50X sales are now 3X sales and still growing at 50%+...a Bloomberg screen shows 982 companies with 50% sales growth in the next year."
Could you provide 10 Cdn. stocks in this category or better yet provide a link to the Bloomberg screen. Thanks.

Q: To say ECN has been a disappointment of late is to understate it. I am a BIG fan of Steve Hudson and am buying more. Looking over its group of managed companies, is it fair to say that this is a consumer discretionary stock too? Do you have any insight into this recent underperformance?
Q: Good Evening
For tax loss selling purposes can you please provide a proxy for the following:
ZEB , BNS , CDZ, SLF, GRT.UN, MI.UN, and TRP.
Can any bank be used as a proxy for BNS?
Please deduct as many credits as required.
Thanks

Q: I have been a long time holder of EMA, with a YoC of over 10%. I am mainly concerned with the safety of the dividend and some dividend growth. Given the recent news, is there reason to be concerned about the dividend and overall outlook for this company?

Q: I own shares in ZRE, GRT.UN, and CAR.UN. They are all down in this market. Should I hold these for a year, hoping the markets will improve, or should I sell and move into something like TCN. Can you suggest better real estate companies, where the growth might be better, when the markets move up.
Q: Looks to have been smashed to the downside. And today is yet another ugly day. On the Flip Side how does its future look? It is down 40% from its 52 week high. Time frame and forward projections on its potential?
Q: Guys...I have some room in my portfolio for a few high risk, high reward stocks. Can you give me one or two from Canada and the U.S. that you like currently...this is long term money...preferably something small cap. completely beaten up but that will likely still be around in 5 years....thanks for all you do.
Q: why the significant drop in share price this last month? i realize this is a small cap company in a very uncertain market. on the surface the numbers look very promising what am i missing?
Q: Peter, one of the worst 'safe' investments I have ever made has been ZPR. Looking for a somewhat enhanced yield and a bit more safety, my 2014 investment shockingly dropped by about 40% in a year! The explanation 5i offered at the time was the declining interest rates combined with ZPR's rate reset preferred share holdings. But now, interest rates are INCREASING and ZPR is again down - almost 20% in the past year, and 12% in just the last six months. I realize other factors can move prices, but I'm mystified how a supposedly more stable investment can decline so much, so quickly, both when prevailing interest rates go UP and when they go DOWN! Do you have any explanation that might make sense to a mere mortal?
Q: Hello, what is CSH.un’s payout ratio, given that they sold their LTC business this year? Thanks
Q: What's the x dividend date for LIFE?
Q: Can you please provide your thoughts on quarter. Is this a good time to purchase. How do you like the future potential. Thx.

Q: These stocks have been identified as the top 10 undervalued mid cap stocks. Would you consider any of these be buys and if so, (given no consideration for sector) can you list in terms of most favorable first. Also, which do you think will "hold on" best given the economic uncertainty and likelihood of recession.

Q: My wife's Cash account. As funds become available, I plan to initiate a position in NRGI and top up 3 existing positions = BNS, FTS, NWC.
Due to the war, NRGI could be a good addition if the war carries on, or possibly negative if the war ends (I'd gladly lose some money if it helped end the war). NWC has had a good run lately, so my thought was to do it last if at all. I currently have a large paper loss on BNS and a large paper gain on FTS. With interest rates still probably rising, that might help BNS and hurt FTS, but the market might be looking past the remaining interest rate hikes.
My thoughts on the sequence of buying when funds are available are = NRGI, BNS, FTS, NWC.
Your thoughts on sequence and why please...thanks.
Steve

Q: It was announced on Oct. 13 that DND would sell TM Group after the UK review. It appears to be improving how the market views the stock since it has gone up almost $2 since then.Your opinion on this proposed sale would be appreciated. Thanks for all your hard work.
