Q: I hold both ZRE and XRE. I selected two ETF because their Top10 holdings looked different enough. ZRE has also a better yield. Do you see a better growth from one of them?
Would you have on-hand a breakdown of their holdings (industrials, residential, retail, office). Could these ETF have private holdings? Thanks a million.

Q: This question or type of question was asked in the last week, but I can't find it. Sorry. My 2 kids each have about $100,000. I manage their money, but would prefer to just manage it through ETF's. Can you please suggest a portfolio of ETF's for reasonable growth (60-70% equities), but balanced with some bonds as well. Q: I have been reading questions on PRL as well as the company report. After reading the company profile I don't really understand the business . Though I did glean they lend money . Please explain why I would prefer to use them over my bank ?
Reading from their website Creditfresh partners with banks to provide loans. Banks lend money . What does PRL bring to the table that the bank doesn't offer ? Why would a bank want to partner with them ? Moneykey provides unsecured loans and lines of credit. So does a bank .... What does PRL do to make a better experience ? The same question for Fora which appears to be the same as Moneykey only centred in Canada ?

What I am trying to understand is the business model and why a consumer would use them over a conventional financial institution ..... I've never heard of this business nor have I ever seen them advertise.... Banks do a lot of advertising in an attempt to take business away from each other ..... So I can't figure out how Joe Sixpack would know of their existence and why he might take his credit needs to them ?

Please give us your take on this ETF of start-ups. On one hand this would seems the perfect vehicle for diversified higher risk investments. Volatility and high fees should be expected but I am more concerned about the fund management.

Q: A lot of market commentators are observing that there is potentially a correction ahead. Ordinarily I would follow your long standing thought to not try to time the market and I would simply stay the course. But one income oriented account I am concerned with has a priority of capital preservation. These 7 named stocks make up about 1/2 of the holdings. Can you please provide your quick assessment whether they are reasonably safe in the event of a downturn. If not and they are more exposed to a decline, would trimming be sufficient or are there some other names to migrate to protect the account assets?

Q: If a 40 year old (about 20 more working years to go) investor had: RRSP maxed out, TFSA maxed out, and $1.1 M in a NR account, and a $400,000 mortgage debt outstanding (at todays interest rates), would you recommend he sell investments to pay off the mortgage debt, and then put the extra income back into new investment positions to catch up? Or just pay the mortgage off over time, including the interest payments, while letting the investments mature? Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i, I have a fair bit parked in CASH and PSA, enjoying the decent interest on the funds I dont want to have exposed to market volatility. My question is, if Canadian interest rates drop significantly sooner and/or further than US rates, would it make any sense to move out of CASH or PSA and in to something like HISU.U?

Understand, of course, this introduces the element of currency risk/volatility. But, ignoring that, would this strategy work to continue realizing interest rates of +/- 5% (assuming US holds longer)?

Q: I have held Visa for many years and made some good capital gains. But the rules have been changing and companies allowing customers to pay by credit card are now allowed to charge those customers an extra 2-3% fee if they want to pay by credit card, in order to offset the fees charged to them by V and MA. Increasingly I am seeing restaurants, retailers and others tell me they will add 2-3% to my bill if I want to pay by credit card. I am seeing this more and more often when I make a purchase and it is causing me to prefer cash to credit, especially when the dollar amount of the purchase is quite substantial and the extra fee, accordingly, is also substantial. Even when the businesses I am dealing with are not charging me this extra amount, I am more inclined than I used to be to pay by cash if the retailer is a small business, just to help them reduce costs.

So my question is how much should I worry that this effect will snowball gradually over the next few years, with a negative effect on V and MA? Both stocks seemed to have plateaued recently. Is it time to replace my V with another stock and if so, what would you recommend as a suitable replacement?

Q: I own HTL and hope you can provide your thoughts on the medium to long term prospects for this company. It seems to have peaked 2021/2022 and has since been in a downtrend, basing at approx. $1.30. I thought the ART business was very interesting so I purchased some awhile back. thanks
