Q: I’ve done fairly well on the stock so far thanks entirely to your recommendation so thank you for starters. What are your thoughts about when to take profits in a company like this? I made money in Shopify a few years ago and sold, only to see the stock continue to rise over the years. Is ttd a name you’d suggest sitting back with for now? I get anxious when I have a good profit and tend to sell the winners. It seems to me that TTD is a leader in a new and growing space (like shop was a few years ago). Thanks.

Q: I was on holidays at Christmas so I put a stop loss on a few stocks. Trade Desk which was trading at a low of $256.00 for quite some time for a split second dropped $10 to $246.00 and took out my stock and was right back up at $256.00 again. Would the market maker have dropped that so some lucky guy could get the stock cheap?
A broker I know told me that since I average at the most 30 trades a quarter, Revenue Canada could classify me as not an investor by making so many trades which could cause me to not qualify for the 50% capital gains rule and I would have to pay tax on 100% gains. I put it on forums but I haven't had a response yet. Hopefully you can enlighten me on this.
Nice call on Park Lawn. I get a lot of emails pertaining to the market and one advised me the other day to buy Park Lawn as it was going to break out above $30.00. I already own Park Lawn so nice call from 5i that I got it a lot cheaper some time ago.

Q: Hi Team,
I was contemplating buying either TTD, ROKU, or perhaps both. I understand both of these are a play on online advertising, which is no doubt set to be long term trend as more and more of the world gets online. Which do you prefer of these 2 names? And are they too expensive to buy at these levels? Any concerns with either of them at this point? My other part of this question will also be: I already own FB. Given that most if its revenue comes from social media advertising, and they are doing great at what they are doing, is there any reason to buy the other 2 names mentioned for exposure to the future of online advertising? Other than simply diversification? Thanks

Q: In my TFSA I have had a nice run with SQ and was thinking of selling it out and "starting over" with a couple or three of the above listed stocks that you have recently identified as having high potential ( with the same? amount of risk that came with buying SQ a couple of years back) What do you see as the pros and cons of such a move and if implemented which 2 or 3 would you chooses at this time?

Q: Since starting to do more and more of my own investing I have found your advice incredibly profitable! Thank you. I follow the Canadian balanced portfolio and try to add in some US growth names. I am also diversified into ETFs. Right now I have cash for 2 new US positions. I want to add growth positions and have a long long time frame. Currently considering GH, RTN and RUBI. Q: I've been active in DIY investing for 7 years. Have chosen only CDN listed stocks and, with 5i's help, have been reasonably satisfied with returns over that period. However, despite my stubborn resistance to the US, I cannot continue to ignore that market. So I have 5 forced-choice questions for you. I will invest in 5 of the 11 listed. I'd like your opinion about which one in each group to invest. These are LT holds (5+ years). I'm not expecting a detailed rationale, but would appreciate knowing if your preferences are strong.
