Q: My question relates to a stock like TTD (which I have been in and out of) vs holding SIS. I do own SIS and believe it will eventually get somewhere. The dividend while waiting is nice. The ask today is whether you would advocate being out of SIS so as to deploy into something like TTD, AYX or even to start a new position in SHOP if the pull back gets more aggressive? The assumption is that it's either SIS or one of the above mentioned stocks but not both.

Q: I have neither Telaria or Rubicon Proj. but I would like to start a position. With the merger between them how would you play this? Buy both before the merger or buy one and why. What happens after the merger? Do you think the merger makes good sense ?

Home Depot Inc. (The) (HD $412.79)

The Trade Desk Inc. (TTD $53.20)
Q: General market question. Jim Cramer is suggesting that while Coronavirus persists as potential disruptor that can't be quantified, more subjectively valued stocks like those in the cloud - say TTD, AYX etc - or those like Tesla will see gains as people buy on growth and momentum. His belief is that these stocks are being bought based on growth alone whereas the market would hold more traditional companies like Cisco, Caterpillar or Home Depot to account based on potential impact of the virus disrupting sales.
My question is whether you agree with his thesis that the cloud stocks will continue to do well as Corona uncertainty lingers or if they stand to fall the most if worst case fears are realized.
As a follow up, if one were to keep only one of Home Depot, TTD or Cisco in current times, which would you hold?

Q: I have a 4.5-5% weighting in all of these and they represent my tech holdings. Any need in your opinion to sell any of them in light of world news? Might LSPD as an example feel the impact of fewer restaurant goers? Would you sell any of these based on fundamentals to replace with something you prefer more?

Q: Hi 5iR team, Many brokerage houses start each New Year by attempting to consolidate their best stock ideas for the year in a comprehensive list.....their Conviction List. I'm wondering if I may ask 51R to do the same? If I was to canvas the 5iR Staff stock experts what would the majority agree on to be your best 5 stock ideas, give or take a few, for 2020? Thanks team. Chris
Q: Hi, I'm currently holding these stocks for Tech (21% of portfolio):
SHOP,KXS,GIB.A,FB,GOOG, LSPD, CSU, XLNX
I've been looking at TEAM, TTD, AYX but haven't pulled the trigger. Would any of these overlap with my current holdings? Which one would you purchase to compliment my current holdings? I know its highly personal as well, but what would be your max sector allocation? I'm a long term growth investor. Thanks!

Q: Re: "Baby Brother Strategy"
I read PH's FP article of 06/20/19 as it echoed my own thoughts about AT (though I do not pretend to possess the same analytical tools).
Could you elaborate further on that idea? I was also wondering if you can speak to programmatic advertising and if AT has any competitive advantages or moats or is it simply going head to head with TTD and others? Thank you.

Q: I’ve done fairly well on the stock so far thanks entirely to your recommendation so thank you for starters. What are your thoughts about when to take profits in a company like this? I made money in Shopify a few years ago and sold, only to see the stock continue to rise over the years. Is ttd a name you’d suggest sitting back with for now? I get anxious when I have a good profit and tend to sell the winners. It seems to me that TTD is a leader in a new and growing space (like shop was a few years ago). Thanks.
Q: I was on holidays at Christmas so I put a stop loss on a few stocks. Trade Desk which was trading at a low of $256.00 for quite some time for a split second dropped $10 to $246.00 and took out my stock and was right back up at $256.00 again. Would the market maker have dropped that so some lucky guy could get the stock cheap?
A broker I know told me that since I average at the most 30 trades a quarter, Revenue Canada could classify me as not an investor by making so many trades which could cause me to not qualify for the 50% capital gains rule and I would have to pay tax on 100% gains. I put it on forums but I haven't had a response yet. Hopefully you can enlighten me on this.
Nice call on Park Lawn. I get a lot of emails pertaining to the market and one advised me the other day to buy Park Lawn as it was going to break out above $30.00. I already own Park Lawn so nice call from 5i that I got it a lot cheaper some time ago.
Thanks for making my trading easier. Dennis

Q: TTD (25%)and SHOP(100%) at what point do I trim these stocks or do I just sit tight? Also, do you have any suggestions of good growth US stocks?
Q: Hi Team,
I was contemplating buying either TTD, ROKU, or perhaps both. I understand both of these are a play on online advertising, which is no doubt set to be long term trend as more and more of the world gets online. Which do you prefer of these 2 names? And are they too expensive to buy at these levels? Any concerns with either of them at this point? My other part of this question will also be: I already own FB. Given that most if its revenue comes from social media advertising, and they are doing great at what they are doing, is there any reason to buy the other 2 names mentioned for exposure to the future of online advertising? Other than simply diversification? Thanks
Shane.

Q: This is getting killed today. I just bought it last week. Do you suggest a hold and forget or should I be worried about it and ready to jump ship if it falls further? I have a lot of money in it. Thanks,

Thanks,

Q: Hello 5i
I own all of the companies noted. I'm wondering if there is excessive overlap here and if I should sell one or more in an effort to reduce overall holdings?
Thanks

Q: Hello,
Hello 5i Team,
With several recent announcements about U.S. tech companies soon offering a variety of payment or financial transaction options, do you see the future prospects for Square beginning to wane? Might TTD or GH be a better high-growth U.S. play?
Thanks.
