Q: Hello, Can I get your analysis on the best way to play the fossil fuel industry. Would it be in buying an etf such as xle or buying a big company such as chevron or total and buying a midcap such as Cheniere or Tourmaline. Do you think the oil market will stay tight for the next few years? Thanks
Q: Do you have any information on this small cap? If so, do you think it has potential for a long hold? It got a couple of buy ratings in January.
thanks, Paul

Q: I see that the underlying sectors held in an ETF are taken into account in the portfolio analysis. For individual companies, are regional exposures taken into account in the same way? E.g. if a Canadian company has significant US exposure, would this count as both Canada and US when looking at geographical risk?
Q: Your Opinion on Unity quarterly report please. Greg
Q: Xylem's stock price took a 'hit' today. Does the company have a major problem?

Q: I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts on this company? These sorts of positions are clearly long-term in nature, and carry significant risks associated with government regulation, but I have to believe that someday, this will be a real option. I just don't know if it is maybe too early to get into the game. Thanks in advance
Q: your thoughts on YGR's most recent quarter reported today?

Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (XLP)

BMO Global Consumer Staples Hedged to CAD Index ETF (STPL)
-
Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF (VDC)
Q: Hi Peter, Ryan, and Team,
To raise our U.S., International, and Consumer Staples sector, please rank these three ETFs . I realize that STPL is the only one of the three that has holdings in countries other than the U.S. This investment would be for our two RRIFs.
Thanks for your insight.

Q: In your comments on DXT last October, you were critical of its year-over-year earnings dilution and its long-term growth prospects. Yesterday Scotiabank raised their target to 25% over yesterday's close, and National Bank to 65% over. Has anything changed to improve your view?
Q: Held in my non taxable account and down 50% and less then 2% portfolio is this worth keeping long term ? Being in the 5G space I thought this would be on fire but ends up a dog.
Q: In 6 months my Telus International (TIXT.to) has gone under water 6% : Had I chosen Telus (T.to) , I would have been up over 11%. Ignoring the recent correction,TIXT had already fallen behind Telus.
Is there a better future for T over TIXT ?
Should be be fearing interest rate hikes in the sector ?
Are there seasonal factors to consider ?

Q: Hamilton ETFs recently launched a new ETF - HFIN. I currently own the ishares XFN which is similar, but much larger in size and unleveraged. For a long-term hold, do you think it would be a good switch, or would you leave it as is? (It is held in an RRSP account, so taxes are irrelevant).

Pender Growth Fund Inc. (PTF)
Q: I would like an ETF to take advantage of the pull back in tech stocks. I generally like the holdings of XIT except for the huge position in CSU (I bought some anyway because I've always been wrong on CSU). Its a small position which I would like to build on but I would also like to add some US exposure - preferably CAD since I don't feel like exchanging more funds right now. Suggestions?
Also, what is your current opinion of PTF? I only recognize a few of their holdings and have no idea how to assess, apart from noting their reasonably good history.
