Q: Good morning 5i folk. 3 questions: 1. I see Microsoft reports today any idea as to segment revenues cloud gaming etc.? 2. Would you add to Palantir here? 3. I need a solid etf or 2 to play Chinese growth and Eastern orient economic growth and recovery with Japan included. Sorry an after thought should I trim back some stronger positions to have some dry powder when we see a correction, if so what %? Please deduct questions as you see fit. Thanks in advance David

Q: How big are the short and option positions on Palantir? Considering the heavy trading volume the last few days is it possible this name could see a short squeeze stampede and slaughter such as Gamestop on Monday?

Q: Bought PLTR at the recommendation of 5i some time ago. Reviewing my TD Waterhouse site I find no news on why the stock has jumped of late. Question -- how do I source basis for the jump and of course your own thoughts of this stock going forward? As always, thanks!

Q: I am 60 years old, and I don't need the upcoming major problems that the world central banks are creating lead to the destruction of my retirement. So I am diversifying.

I currently hold the traditional Canadian dividend paying stocks, growing exposure to Emerging market ETF's, Gold bullion / ETF, commodity stocks, Infrastructure / Renewable Energy via the Brookfields, a few big name US stocks, and now entering the crypto world.

Here is my question: I read a recent article on Cathie Wood - CEO of Ark Invest. She claims:

"Seeded during the tech and telecom bubble more than 20 years ago, the five main platforms of innovation that we think will transform the global economy are: DNA sequencing, robotics, energy storage, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. These involve 14 technologies including gene therapies, 3D printing, cloud computing, big data analytics, and cryptocurrencies."

I already have a pension from a Robotics-related company, and I am investing in crypto. Do you have any recommendations for anything else from what she mentioned, in which you would share her outlook? I have both CAD and USD accounts. Could be company or ETF - big or small.

Q: I am concerned about 30% of my holdings being in IT and would like to reduce perhaps by half and cover some other sectors for balance. (Just read your year-end article about predicting 2021 - perhaps you would not be concerned about 30% going forward)
What order might you trim / sell these to raise cash?

Q: Do you subscribe to the theory that it is good to wait for lockup periods to pass before buying shares in a new public company? I’ve listed a few newer stocks - do you happen to have the lockup period dates for these? Any other notable ones?

Q: The price has recently come down to about $24.50 US ? Reason for this? Has your outlook changed and is it currently a buy, hold or sell for you? If you suggest a buy, would now be good or would you wait for a better price?

Q: Good morning 5i, question for you on prospects for Portage Biotech for growth, a friend of mine who was an earlier investor in this company, really likes the space and specifically the Chairman and Director Greg Bailey as he said he has a great track record with previous companies.

This is from Portage's site (CEO of Juvanescence. Managing Partner of Palantir Group, Inc, co-founder of Ascent Healthcare Solutions, VirnetX Inc. (Biohaven (BHVN:NYSE), and DuraMedic Inc. He was the initial financier and an independent Director of Medivation, Inc. (MDVN:NASDAQ), from 2005 to 2012. He also served as the Managing Director and co-Head of Life Sciences at MDB Capital Group LLC from May 2004 to December 2006.)

Do you know of Greg and would you feel comfortable with his history? I am guessing you do not know much about the company and in the biotech/cancer space there is tons of risk so that is fully understood, but looking to add to that sector for long term growth 15 plus years out.

Q: trying to pick between these two companies. could you give me your take on risk and upside.

Q: The average P/E of my stock and ETF portfolio (63) reflects the tech/momentum binge I've been on since Spring 2020. I'm considerably overweight in tech yet I'm finding it difficult to jettison or trim any of my names in that sector. Can you please help by identifying 5 of these that you're less bullish on compared to the others? I have a reasonably long investment horizon and good risk tolerance (5 yrs until my children's post-secondary education and ~20 until retirement). Thanks again.
