Q: hi, what are thoughts on where gold prices are heading ( and inflation etc. ). as a former gold bug, I am finding it harder to keep holding AEM after it's humdrum "rally". are input costs these days just too much for these companies to gain any traction? has crypto gambling taken over as the doom and gloom trade/play? do you see AEM moving higher/lower in following 3 scenarios: 1 inflation stalls 2 inflation increases 3 inflation decreases ? cheers, Chris

Q: Thoughts on latest results. Listened to the call - while not in a position to follow everything -I felt the tone was a bit dismissive to the questioners. And what are your thoughts on the debenture buy back - not seeing where they have the cash to complete that but easily might have misread the statements or perhaps a line of credit? Mainly just wondering if that points towards or away from a share issue as Engine is concerned about.

Q: Please comment on its most recent Q. It is still held in the growth portfolio yet it has been in a down trend since early 2022 from almost $60 to a current price of around $36. Do you still have patience with this one? Is it a buy, sell or , hold? Is there another name you would consider as a replacement with better growth?

Q: I looked up CYBR after watching the podcast, and it appears there are three ETF's, CYBR.B, CYBR.U, and CYBR (hedged). Which one was the ETF discussed, and what are the differences? Thanks.

Q: Hi Team,
What do you think of yesterday's results versus estimates.

I have a small SPB position in my RRSP (about 1%) and I am think about increasing my position. I own it mainly for income with, what I consider, a relatively safe dividend of 7.6%

I am thinking about gradually increasing my position to about 2-3% but I find the debt level a bit concerning, would you agree with the move?

I have some cash to deploy and I took many positions in the utilities sector in the last months and these positions are beginning to do well.

I would like to add some income diversification. What companies in other sectors (REIT, Financials, consumer staples, etc. ) could you suggest to add in a RRSP portfolio that pays a reasonable dividend, have a limited possible drop in price even in an economic downturn and a fair chance of capital appreciation over the next 2-3 years.

Thank you!

Michel

Q: I had high hopes for small caps this year, and it looks like, in the past 30 days, they finally started moving up with IWM at 5% gain and IJR at 6%. Unfortunately, my choice for small caps ETF was CALF and it barely moved up in the past 30 days. What is wrong there? I know that it is actively managed and has less holding in its portfolio... is there some problem with one of the holding? Should I sell it and switch to IJR or IWM? I know that CALF overperformed these two over longer periods of time, but the lack of momentum in the past 30 days when the small caps are up worries me.
