Q: What is your opinion of the Buffalo-based Rand Capital Corp.? There doesn't seem to be any mention of this firm in your database or, to be fair, in Stockchart's database, either.
Best regards,
David

Q: Hi, What are your thoughts on Nextracker earnings and outlook ? CC is scheduled for 5 PM. We took a starter 1% position, last week, after reviewing several favorable comments from 5i team. What would you recommend going forward - Add to the position gradually, starting, Tomorrow Or, wait for stock to settle Or, wait for another quarter ? Also, would appreciate decent price levels to accumulate.

Thank You

Q: Hi, With CDN interest rates maybe coming down I'm wondering if a switch from a covered call utility ETF (ZWU) to an equal weight ETF like ZUT makes sense? ZUT though has a fairly high MER, so is there a better option, or maybe better to just buy individual stocks. Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter,
For my RRIF, I want to invest in covered calls ETFs that generate high income with some growth potential for long term hold. Given the current market with possible near term interest rate cut, please share your top four Canadian listed covered call ETFs and top four US listed, with their respective current yield. Thanks.

Q: Hello, what is your opinion about Five Below ?

They plan to achieve 3500 stores by 2030 (in 2023 they opened 205 and plan to open 230 in 2024) and now have 1544 stores and grow sales at around 15% per year.
Easy to understand business model
468 millions in cash and no debt
Francois Rochon of Giverny likes the company (5% of portfolio)
They talk about shrink headwinds (can you explain) and not sure about their moat since a lot of competition in the US.
But the share price has been going down 35% this year.

Thanks

Q: Hi. I’m looking for a Canadian-listed ex-North America equity ETF for a TFSA. And am familiar with the options you usually refer to, such as VIU. My question is whether there are more “actively” managed ETF’s (focused on developed markets) which you would consider. Such as QIE.

A separate related question. Are there U.S.-listed alternatives you would consider, in spite of the withholding tax. And is the withholding tax less of a deterrent than we make it to be.

Thanks.

Q: You recently answered about RRSP being the ideal account to hold viu in to minimize withholding tax - does this apply to VEE and ZSP too?

Thanks in advance. - Jeff

Q: A recent question/answer mentioned AGNC,NLY, BXMT. All have high yields 13-14%
Are these rates sustainable over a 3-5 year period. Would AGNC likely be the safest with only a 10.3 PE?

Thanks
