Q: This stock has made a nice move, and it sounds like a great cybersecurity technology. It's a micro so risks are still high. Seems like a company that they had a license deal with got acquired yesterday (Empirix). Any thoughts on this company?
Q: In answer to Savalai's query on Apr 21 with regards to Moez's article on Growth Stocks on Sale, SVM is mentioned as the best on the basis of debt to equity ratio. BUT this company is not in Moez's original article. Error? Intended to be another company?
with thanks, gary
Q: Can you comment on latest earnings. Looked like a slight beat. What are your views on company prospects? What catalyst is needed to move stock to the next level and what risks are present?
Q: I am interested in buying Kirkland or AEM on the NYSE .Would there be any consequence tax-wise with the dividend (us withholding tax).I have US $ that I like to invest and get a bit of dividend. When the US investments go over $100.000 would this trigger anything with the IRS?
Are there any other stocks that you would recommend to buy on the NYSE to avoid withholding tax on the dividend?(canadian stocks)
Q: good morning - i want to increase my US health care exposure. At this point I could add to my ABBV which would make it more than a full position or I could trim a bit of ABBV and add the proceeds to existing cash to take a second US position. I do have WELL on the canadian side of my health investing. Is there a strong second US candidate you would suggest? Thanks
Q: When evaluating a business, how much time would you suggest someone spend on their due diligence? For example, after learning that MRS was added to the 5i portfolio, how much time (ballpark) should someone put into it before initiating a 1-2% position . The reason I ask is because as soon as I hear about a good opportunity, I instantly feel like I am under the gun to make a decision to either buy or move on. I understand this is quite subjective, but I'm curious whether it is 2 hrs, 10 hrs, or 50 hours....
Thanks
Q: In Canada, in addition to the banks' investment departments, there are many brokerage houses, investment firms, etc. that issue stock reports, and price targets for Canadian stocks, companies like Raymond James, Cormark, Haywood, ATB Capital, Eight Capital, Acumen, Canaccord, etc.. Do you consider any of these companies' stock recommendations and price targets to have any value or are they all simply promotional, and supporting companies that they do financings with, or hope to do financings with, or have recommended to their clients? Please indicate which, if any, of these companies you feel are worth paying any attention to.
Q: It seems to me that this is a critical juncture for the growth and development of these two companies, somewhat akin to the number 1 and 2 teams in the Northern Division playing each other in a hockey game. The winner will not only get a win but also deal the loser a loss at the same time. Your thoughts please.

Q: Canadian Natural Gas producers seem wildly undervalued (to me anyway...) Checking my thesis here: Natural Gas netbacks are showing 40% increases over last year, and 2020 was almost 80% higher than 2019. Carbon sequestration makes maximum sense as an alternative revenue stream, and it appears at least one company (AAV) is doing just that. Valuation multiples remain very low (which is fine if one is going to invest) but it remains puzzling to me. Am I missing something? Or are all hydrocarbon stocks being re-rated (lower) due to ESG concerns? Are O&G stocks the new "Tobacco" stocks (this reference may dates me somewhat...) Any high level thoughts here to help me in decision making?
Q: I am interested in purchasing some U.S. stocks in order to balance and diversify my portfolio. Can you suggest three stocks that you would currently suggest for a conservative type of investor.
Q: Hi Team,
Over the past four/five years I have benefitted immensely from your guidance on Canadian and US equities. Many thanks for that. I was wondering if you entertain the thought of having US equities portfolios similar to growth/balanced/income for canadian equities.
Thanks
