Q: Which Canadian large cap stocks would you consider as being also a global stocks and profitable at this time? Are any of these would be investable at this time due to all world markets decline?

Q: I am interested in you Portfolio Change advice to sell the full position in Sylogist.

Would you consider that it has fallen in accordance to its current value?

Do you believe that the current price is not a “over-swing” of the pendulum?

Would your advice apply to both registered and non-registered holdings?

Do you see further downside to SYZ, or a shift in investment rationale and performance?

Q: A conundrum....
As with most investors, I have winners such as 'ATD', 'CSU', ';TFI' and 'WSP'. Because of this delightful phenomena, they now represent a much higher percentage of holdings than they did at purchase. I am reluctant to admit that I also have 'losers' such as 'ECN', 'LSPD', 'GSY', 'TCN' and 'SHOP'. Obviously their portfolio percentages are much lower than at purchase. I eschew selling winners, so please help me out in terms of re-allocating the broad spectrum of stocks, i.e. sell fractions of the 'winners' and average down on the 'losers'?

Q: What weight, if any, do you put on Warren Buffett, through Berkshire, increasing his position in a stock? As you well know, he has a strong reputation for finding value. In the 3rd Q, Buffett increased his holdings in PARA to $1.7B. What is your view of PARA here? I think you last had it as a sell but that was in a portfolio clean-up. What does Buffett see that others may not see?

Q: I am not clear on whether or not one is able to hold physical gold in an RRSP. If so, could you tell me how to do that?

Q: I am making some end of year adjustments to my portfolio and am looking to add a new position with some cash in and RSP accounts. Looking at H, EIF or BNS. Which do you prefer at the momment. Income investor, long term hold, well balanced and diversified portfolio.
