- Sangoma Technologies Corporation (STC)
- Tucows Inc. (TC)
- Plurilock Security Inc. (PLUR)
- Wishpond Technologies Ltd. (WISH)
Q: I hold a basket of small, speculative tech stocks, each with a small investment only in my TFSA. Those listed above are down significantly in value and I wonder whether any are worth continuing to hold? I would appreciate your views.
5i Research Answer:
PLUR: still a speculative biotech company, not a clear product roadmap to generate revenue. We would be OK selling.
STC: growth has slowed, and it has a high debt level. We think it can go, but January usually sees a small cap bounce, so a seller has a bit of time here.
TC: is cash flow negative, and high debt level; we think it can go.
WISH is not without potential, but it is too small ($26M) for strong endorsement. It is still losing money and will likely need more capital at a dilutive rate. It could go.
