Q: Hi 5i Team:
What are 5 pure Canadian growth companies that you will recommend for TFSA. Risk is not a factor. No need for dividends. 3 to 5 year horizon. Plan to add future contributions to this list in the next few years. Of course I will be reading your reports to see if there are any sudden changes in these companies and adjust accordingly.
Q: I have A&W, CGX, and BPF.un in my consumer discretionary. I've been thinking of switching out A & W for TOY or DOL for diversification. Does this seem like a reasonable approach for a conservative retiree? Which would be the more stable choice for one in my position, or do you have another suggestion? Thank you so much for your continued help and advice. (CGX has done very well for me)
Q: Hi team
I have a half position on the above except for ZCL which I sold it earlier for a small gain, which one of the above would you add on to the postion from my cash ? Thanks
Michael
Q: My portfolio is somewhat light on consumer discretionary companies and I see that you favour this sector at the present time. Could you please explain your current support for the sector and suggest a few Canadian and American companies that you believe are fair value with solid growth prospects for the future. As always, I thank you for your appreciated opinions.
Q: Hi - With the recent pullback in many stocks, have any of your favourites dipped in price enough that you would be advising clients to hop on board. Totally understand that this is just guessing but hoping that a few jump out at you. No need to consider KYC factors in your response. Many thanks!
Inside my portfolio, my consumer cyclical weighting is over 20%, please rate best to worst;
GIL, MG, BYD.UN, TOY, AYA, CCL & NFI and on the U.S.A. side we have GPC, DIS & HD.
I would like to lower the % to 15%.
thanks,
Q: I bought TOY the other day and it has since pulled back 6% or so. Seems to be just normal volatility. Would you support buying more if it drops down further to ~$35?
I am thinking about adding to my position in Spin Master. Stock is is dropping a little, with slightly higher volume/erratic trading. I agree with Ryan's comments on the digitization of toys, and they have some valuable brands making good traction, etc. Can you comment on the trading, the stock dropping, you outlook for a target price, etc. Thank you.
Great job on BNN yesterday !! In addition to your Top 3 Picks (I already own), could you please give several additional picks which are good buys at this time.
Q: 2 question : So bomber has bounced a bit so time for me to suck it up and sell at a 30% loss. Sell now or hold off a few more days to see if it has some legs.
Once I sell BBD.b what full position of the balanced equity portfolio would you buy right now: ccl, gud, nfi, sis, sj, syz, t or toy? Currently rebalancing my CAD equity portfolio to loosely match your portfolio and those above fill gaps in my allocation. Open to off the list suggestions but already overweigh or OK in financials, energy and tech.
Q: Hi 5i, what are your top 5 small or mid-cap dividend growth stocks? Also, please provide a few companies that you believe may be initiating a dividend in the near future. Thanks Rob
Q: Can you rank the stocks best to worst in your opinion. These are the stock s that are in my Consumer Cyclical (Discretionary) sector. Would you add, swap or remove any of them? My portfolio holdings/thoughts are very similar to your BE Portfolio. Thank you and great job.
Q: Hi, Could you please share quarterly estimates for KWH.un (AFCFO per share and EBITDA) and Revenue, Adj EBITDA and Adj EPS for ECI,TOY and BYD.un. Thanks
Q: Based on available historical data, the above have compounded earnings > 10%. I intend to put these good companies into a RRIF to boost the return of a mostly bond/gic content.
In your opinion would you regard each of the above as a good company that should be able to provide a relatively stable future annual return of 8% to 10% with the exception of a market meltdown. Looking for some reassurance regarding the picks. Thank you.
