For additional monies for a balanced approach, i was thinking of putting new monies into Nuvei (instead of Shopify), and rest into one of the banks. I already have Topicus. Does this make sense and if so, which bank would be best at current valuation? Fobi AI has had good news releases, yet stock tumbles. Any comments.. Thanks very much.

I am over weight with SHOP at the moment and very small LSPD holding. Would you recommend selling some SHOP and buy LSPD to balance? or Am I increasing the risk by doing that?

Not a question, more of a comment on the attack on LSPD.

Correct me if I am wrong, but when SHOP got attacked by citron back then, I don't recall them coming out with any statement whatsoever to defend themselves? They pretty much ignored it and went on with their business!

If that "Media clown" Cramer would have invited the CEO of SHOP to defend themselves, I highly doubt he would have gone on. Unless he did and I did not see the show? Not like I watch that hyper active show.

The best way to beat a short attack and have them go away is to post strong quarterly numbers...point final!! Isn't that what SHOP did? They kept quite and beat all estimates which squeezed all the juice out of citron! (Citron is french for lemons :)

Q: A general question about shipping/transport that may affect the consumer stocks. I'm increasingly hearing about shortages of truckers and back ups of containers in many major ports around the world. Fuel shortages in England (due to too few transport drivers), weeks of back logs at ports in NY and CA. Costco's recent comments on this topic...

All this has me wondering if there will even be enough goods to sell to meet expectations - and what will happen to high flyers (SHOP, AMZN), when sellers/merchcants simply can get stuff to sell.

Simply put, how significant is the driver/transport shortage and should we expect worse?

Q: All 3 are down today (Wednesday) when market is up. LSPD down a lot, no longer muted. Can you comment more on what's happening to LSPD and what outlook holds? Any adjustment in your opinion? As for SHOP, it's been flat to down for a while now. Any reason why? What is the compelling story behind it? Would you buy it now?

Q: I have had Shopify for 5 + years. What I was thinking to do is to reduce my holding somewhat and start a half position with Affirm. Your thoughts.

Q: I'm thinking that there's probably not a better time to enter some stocks I don't hold but want to own, than during the turbulent September / October timeframe.

Are there any of the above you would stay away from at current prices due to (over)valuation, downside risk, potential implosion.

Unfortunately, I have previously owned stocks that have left a huge scar (Nortel, NIKO Resources, Poseidon Concepts, Concordia), and want to avoid a similar fate with current high flying stocks.

Q: The markets pre-COVID were rising at a reasonable rate year to year, with the odd market downturn. Since March/April 2020 the markets have shot up and stocks are trading at much higher multiples than pre-COVID. Eventually, reality may kick-in. There are many companies trading at very high evaluations. If you look at the overall market (i.e. Nasdaq) you see an exponential growth curve for the past 18 months, definitely not sustainable and possibly overpriced.? I still buy stocks but sometimes feel that if the market turns around, it could be years for it to come back. (I am more concerned about companies such as SHOP, NVEI, TTD, LSPD, NVDA, TOI, UPST, ... all of which are great companies but if we overpay, payback could be much more than 5 years.) I thought same about Netflix, I was totally wrong and missed out on one of the biggest lifetime opportunities BUT there must be a point where the price is definitely too high. Are we overpaying? Will we regret this at some point? Your thoughts? Thanks.

I use the US side of my portfolio mainly for growth opposed to CDN for income and some growth. Thinking of a switch from docu to affirm looks like good money to be made in this one. Can you give a comparison between the 2 and do you think affirm is a better investment now?

Q: My hold the following Canadian tech stocks: CSU, KXS, LSPD, ENGH, SHOP, and TOI. Based on your continued support of NVEI and DSG, I would like to add them as well. Can you try as best as possible to consider the effects of the Evergrande (potential) collapse all the while presuming that economic fallout will be mostly contained? In other words if new construction in China slows and it has some effect on mining and iron ore prices (for example) what is not effected or what kinds of companies and in which sectors will actually benefit?
