Q: Hi Peter,

After the fed outlook for the economy and the fed rate 2023 what is your opinion of a near term price movement of TLT? Do you think the fed was setting the expectation of a hard landing / recession without acknowledging that the fed rate is restrictive enough already?

Q: Dear 5i,
I currently hold BIPC and BEPC in my NonReg, TFSA and Pension accounts.
In your opinion, which new split entiity; BN or BAM offers the least overlap with my current two holdings? Which entity gets the fees from BIPC and BEPC? These new entities are very confusing and it would be great if you published a special article about them and how we might use them.

Q: Will the 10% US withholding tax on dispositions and distributions of PTPs, levied against non-US persons effective January 1, 2023 apply to the old BAM.A or the new BN (or both)? And how is BAMR impacted?

Brookfield website says "section 1446(f) will not apply) to BAM.A but gives no detail, unlike their website on BIP (which details that section 1446(f) does not apply due to being Bermuda based and that the 10% exception rule applies)

I have a significant holding in BAM.A and want to know if I should take action prior to Jan 1, 2023

Q: Was happy to see DOCU's small rebound and the relatively positive report you gave them in your answer to a previous question.

My question is whether they really have a moat with their product or whether it can be reproduced by a bigger player like Microsoft.

Q: How much emphasis do you guys place on companies cash flow statement when much of the cash from operations is a result of adding back Depreciation &amortization, plus stock based compensation. Seems kind of misleading to me.

Q: POWER CORP. stock has been in the doldrums for the past 20 years as the second generation Desmarais family seemed content to basically live off what their father had developed. Now that the third generation is involved we have significant moves with the simplifying of the corporate structure and then the creation of Wealthsimple and also their involvement in tech joint ventures.

When younger, I felt the stock did not offer enough growth for my purposes ; now that I am retired I am looking at it as a solid dividend paying company having a new management with more of a growth oriented focus. Is this an accurate take on Power ? Thanks. Derek
