Q: What Canadian stocks would be considered dividend growers?

Q: I know these companies span the financial category and they're not comparing apples to apples exactly but I'm looking to maintain stable dividend income and long term growth. Assuming equal weight except for IGM (much higher weight), would you recommend a weight shift? An addition/subtraction of position?

Q: Good morning...my financials listed above make up 12.8% of my portfolio. (TD 3.8, BNS, 3.3, SLF 3.1 and GS 2.6)..I was looking at changing it up a bit and selling GS and adding to either TD, BNS or SLF..dividend not a big concern...looking for a bit more growth potential in the Financials...what do you think? or other alternative..

Q: As per u many positive comments,I am going to buy BNS for myself & 30yr old daughter.Please adise for which a/c-RSP,TFSA or Non-registered a/c.My RSP will be transferred to RIF by this year end,A required withdrawal in 2019 will most likely reduce my OAS..Also please which a/c should the purchase for my daughter,Thanks for u usual great views & services

Q: Hi group - BNS taking a hit due to lass than stellar results (compared to other Cad banks) in the 2 nd quarter. I also own TD (trading near its high) my question is should I cash in 1/2 (500 shares) of TD and purchase more BNS to try and take advantage of the lower stock price (I am thinking that BNS has a lot more upside potential in the coming mths and years. Also I own the US banks and am becoming frustrated with their performance - what going on? they should be trading higher due to the strong economy?...Thanks for your guidance on this

Q: Yesterday,you listed BNS as your no.1 preference of the big 6 can. banks even after it missed estimated eps.whereas the other 3 that had reported beated.Subsequently,NA reported a beat.As of Aug 24,it was the worst performer of the big 6 on a 3mo,1yr & 5yr basis as per TRI.So please advise your reasons of choice,& is this a good entry point.Thanks for u usual great services & views

Q: What are your expectations of BNS"s Q results on Aug 29.How would its international exposure(no USA,arguably the best place) & recent very big bing in acquistions(say,$6/8b) over a very short period impact the results? Q: I was talking to my financial advisor about getting into a couple of high dividend securities north of 4% with some growth. They mentioned AW.UN, LIF, CGX, EXE. They said most of them have had a run except for the KEG and they said that one might be the better one. Which ones do you like of this group I have mentioned or are there any that you could recommend?

Q: My 20 year old son has been investing based on your balanced portfolio. He has little need for income currently as he has at least two more years in school. Those costs are covered by an RESP. His financials holdings consist of BNS and ECN. Do you see any value in selling ECN and replacing it with either SLF or GSY? Is there any possible catalyst that will start ECN on an upward trajectory?

Q: Hi group...I own JPM + BOA in the US and BNS+ RBC +TD In Canada- Looking like US banks are under more pressure on the last few days (Turkey situation worsens +JPM + BOA down close to 5%) - why are US banks getting hit so hard / going fwd do you like US banks are would you stick to Canadian banks ? - Your comments re appreciated

Q: Hi all at 5i, I have about 45k invested with only 5k in cash. I own all of the above names and was wondering if you were to free up some cash which of these stocks would you trim. If you think 5k in cash is enough, do you think any of these names would be good to trade for another name? Do you have any concerns over any of these names at this moment in time.

Q: Hello Peter & Ryan,
Thank you for our great return on ECI, I bought it a week or so before Brookfield buy-out.
Your opinion on re-arrange my TFSA currently holdings 4 stocks DRG.UN, MFC, RY & HLF . We did well with the first three and loss 40% HLF (small position of 300 shares). We have 4 years hold in mind
1) Replace DRG.UN with CHP.UN
2) Double down on HLF small position loss about 40% or replace with RSI or ATD.B
3) Replace MFC with a combo ALA & ENB or FTS & AQN
4) Replace RY with CIX & BNS

And add small position in TSGI or GUD
