Q: I would appreciate your guidance on investing available cash in my portfolio. I recently sold my NVIDIA holdings, and as a result, approximately 50% of my RRIF investments are currently in cash, and about 5% of my non-registered (open) investment accounts are also in cash. I currently hold VFV, VGRO and XIC in my open account along with approximately 20 equities. I do not currently hold any ETFs in my RRIF account. My objective is to fully invest this cash before the end of 2025. I would appreciate your recommendations on the following:
• Top five investment ideas (ETFs and equities) suitable for my RRIF account, and
• Top five investment ideas (ETFs and equities) suitable for my non-registered (open) account,
with the following parameters in mind:
• Investment horizon: 5 to 10 years
• Risk profile: Moderate
Thank you in advance for your assistance. I value your research and look forward to your recommendations. Best wishes to you and your team for the Holiday Season, and warm regards for a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Q: Hi, I’m retired 70 year old , looking at more conservative alternatives to stocks for a portion of my portfolio (30-40%). Could you give your opinion on TIPS I believe it’s US , but I see a Canadian version ZTIP. Interesting that it is inflation protection? Your thoughts and best one to buy. ( like to keep taxes simple).
Also could you give me your favourite dividend aristocrat etf. And do you consider this etf more conservative than a regular dividend etf.
Thanks for your help over the years, Merry Christmas

Q: Do you have a blog entry or past question response related to US listed opportunities that could benefit from the end of tax loss selling? If not, can you provide 10 opportunities that would benefit specifically from this seasonal event? Can you also explain the extent to which tax related selling and potential rebounds occur in the US compared to the Canadian market? Is it just as likely or less likely based on the size of their market and different tax system? Lastly and on the same theme, if CSU is an excellent candidate for a recover from tax related selling, is NOW a US listed candidate for a rebound on a potentially larger scale given the larger following that it has?

Q: I am interested to know your thoughts about US MLPs for Canadian investors. One that’s been on my radar for a while is energy transfer partners. Could you please address the tax issue related to what a Canadian investor must be careful of, or which account would be better to hold an MLP in. In addition, could you list 3 to 5 MLPs that pay wonderful dividends that you would recommend?

Q: After years of holding this company I sold it for tax loss. I'm confident I have time to rebuy after 30 days without the need of a proxy. The question is, should I rebuy it. Even though it has grown for the last 3-4 Q's as a result of its entry into the RTD market, investors don't seem to care. Perhaps with a risk off market and a shift to value it could run. What do you think? How would you rank this stock, as an income stock with moderate growth or just a straight income stock? What would you consider a better income stock with moderate growth? Can you review it's last 2 or 3 Q's in your response? Thank you.

Q: I am seeing sell recommendations for ARM from other analysts. ARM designs the CPUs used in almost all cellphones, the current Apple computers and a growing share of data centres. How could this stock be overvalued? What is your projection for the medium to long term?

Q: Peter; Thank you the response yesterday. Given your info would it not be a good time to add a little? I don’t think Mr. Sprott would risk his reputation if he was trading with any material info.
As a long timer, I would like to thank you and all of your staff for the exceptional service over the years. My wife and have
both seen all our various portfolio’s returns that beat anything
available in the investing universe.
Enjoy your time off, not much I would guess, and a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
