Q: I want to examine a severe geopolitical scenario and identify potential economic beneficiaries. If heightened geopolitical tensions—say, related to Venezuela—were perceived as creating conditions where China might move against Taiwan, this could disrupt the semiconductor supply chain, particularly affecting TSMC's advanced chip production. I'm anticipating major impacts: NVIDIA's valuation would likely plummet, AI development would face significant setbacks, and chip manufacturing might shift toward Samsung or Intel. AI data center construction and operations would be severely disrupted, hurting related infrastructure companies. In such a scenario, are there any sectors or companies that might actually benefit?"

Q: Both SpaceX and Databricks have hinted at IPO’s in 2026. I own competitors Rocket Lab (RKLB) and Snowflake (SNOW) respectively. How concerned should I be, that investors will flee RKLB and SNOW and buy the IPO’s? Would you continue to hold RKLB and SNOW? Thank you.

Q: Hello Peter,
Your opinion please.

With US going to 'run' Venezuelan heavy oil, what is the market reaction and impact to WCS, the producers and the pipelines that move Alberta oil to the USA? Is it time to go underweight on the energy sector for this year?
Regards
Rajiv

Q: I am a buy-and-hold total return value investor. I have a concentrated portfolio of eleven stocks. I don't worry about asset diversification. I hold FFH and BN in the financial space right now, but I'm considering selling BN and replacing it with a Canadian bank (not an ETF). What do you think of that plan? Which Canadian bank would you think would best fit my strategy? Could you please list three banks, in order of preference?

Thanks.

Q: I have held Savaria for several years now, and it has performed steadily, but has lagged in growth compared to many of my other holdings. I am wondering if it might be more prudent to consider adding to my positions in either ISRG or ABBV, or perhaps consider another company with stronger growth prospects.

My overall exposure to health care (I deem SIS to be a health care-related company) is roughly 7%, and SIS makes up about 1% (was larger initially, but grew less than portfolio over time). If a lower exposure to health care is still tolerable within a portfolio attempting to maintain diversification, are there another positions outside of the health care space that might be prudent for me to consider? Thanks so much, and I look forward to your response.

Q: In my portfolio, I’m only interested in long term compounders. For example, in the compounding software portion of my portfolio I own CSU, TOI, LMN, VHI and PNP. I am reviewing my allocation of Canadian Industrial stock holdings. What would be your top five small to mid cap Canadian compounding industrial companies that you own for 5-10 years. Thanks for your wonderful service and Happy New Year.
