Q: Hi 5i,
May I please have your current thoughts on EV makers other than Tesla (which I already own)?
Are companies such as Rivian, Lucid, BYD, Nio etc. (or any others you can suggest) worth investing in as a stock?
Multiple questions here, but if you could give a brief breakdown of the more viable companies and their investment merits (or not) that would be great.
Thanks!

Q: CHPT held a lot of promise but now I find myself looking at a 30% loss on paper after the GM,F & TSLA news.
Any significant opportunity for a recovery or time to sell and move on?
If I do sell where could I deploy the funds in terms of staying with a growth stock ( with much less risk than Chpt , especially the balance sheet)
Thanks.

Q: Back in February 5i had responded to an MG vs TIH comparison request. I guess I was a bit surprised that you had favoured MG. I'm trying to understand MG's risks in the new EV world. How dependent is MG on the legacy companies for business? If they are quite dependent, are there not a lot of legacy costs (and therefore disruption risks) with these type of companies compared to the Teslas of the auto world who have built from the ground up on EV production? Maybe it's a case of MG having other avenues of growth in EV design and production that I'm not aware of.
Regarding TIH, what is its historic yield range ? Is the upper part of the range about 2.3% ?

Q: Hello, I am overweigh Tesla as I love the product and observe it is family of products including EV's, Energy production (Solar) and retail (Supercharging). All with revenue growth potential. My question has to do with trading volume. Over the last few weeks I have observed Tesla's trading volume at multiples of the big guys, say Ford and GM. A few minutes ago, Ford traded about 5 million shares, GM 2 million and Tesla 25 million. Can you comment on the interest in Tesla and how it could factor in the future stock evaluation ? How important is trading volume ? Thanks for your excellent service.
Q: What are the cash positions of General Motors, Ford and Tesla at the moment?
Q: I have a position in GM and LNR and I need to get rid of one. Which security would you recommend hanging on to for the next 12 months and please provide your reasoning. Thank You.
Q: My question relates to Tesla's auto division and indirectly, Toyota :
My son predicts that most major auto manufacturers will go bankrupt or become mere shadows of their former selves by the end of the decade. He cites Tesla's manufacturing innovations as the cause (gigacasting, vertical integration, constant design iteration) as a few of the unassailable competitive advantages that no other manufacturer is even trying to copy at this time.
How does a debt-laden, auto company like Toyota expect to be able to be competitive in the EV marketplace and is this a good time as any to move into TSLA stock?

Q: Which do you prefer a five year hold?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Greetings,
1) Which vehicle manufacturers may potentially "catch up" with Tesla over the next decade? (U.S or Canadian listed)
2) I have compared Ford vs General Motors and even though they seemingly do the same thing their current state of affairs appear different. Should we Buy Ford or GM or both (hedge my bets!) ?
Many thanks!

Q: Further to my question about the Omega 1 engine; what automobile company do you think is the most likely to adopt this new technology?
Q: The three large auto companies mentioned are currently trading at 'low' trailing P/E (6.9 to 9.8) and forward P/E (5.7 to 8.5) multiples according to the Globe & Mail Investor service. Why would they be trading at, what on the surface, appears to be such 'attractive' levels?
Thank you. Edward

Q: Hi,
I have $20,000 to top up my TFSA and wonder what would be best considering my above holdings. Should I add to any of the above or can you suggest any other stock or ETF that would be most suitable for growth and preservation. Your advice is most appreciated.

Q: Looking to the future and the EV space. I know GM and F are making big inroad’s and have the scale. However, what about TM as an alternative play. It has a decent divd and has had a long lead time in EV’S relative to NA players…and arguably a more reliable product.
Looking at this as a long term US divd play
