Q: We own both of these companies in a riff account for the dividend and hopefully some growth given the demographics. Any reason why they have dropped so much recently ( seems to be more than the market) and would you buy more at these prices?
Thank you. Maggie
Thank you. Maggie
Q: Your thoughts on Alaris Royalty latest update this morning.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Could I please have your comments on this company's recently announced earnings. Thank You.
Q: PPL and others in the utility pipeline space have taken a major haircut in the last few days for no reason at all. Is the threat of a Fed rate increase really to blame? In real financial terms that is really immaterial. However, market movers have been using all threats (real or otherwise) to further their games of stirring stock movements. What is your take on this? Thanks.
Q: FYI to members, a colleague of mine, after being persistent, had her conversion request for IT shares rolled back by TD Waterhouse (given the state of limbo) and she was then able to sell the shares.
Q: Hi Peter and Team - Your response to today's question on the Exchangeable shares has really helped to clarify the situation. I too have opted for the exchangeable shares and would like to convert back to the regular ones in order to sell but TD Waterhouse was very doubtful that I could do this. Before I pursue this further do you know when the deal for exchangeable shares will close. Also do you think there is a chance the shares in Intertain or the new company will go to zero. Are the fundamentals still reasonably sound and particularly is the debt load manageable. Thanks.
Q: In their current earnings release CBL speaks about "yield enhancements". Can you explain what this means?

Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited Subordinate Voting Shares (FFH)
-
Torstar Corporation Class B Non-voting Shares (TS.B)
Q: Can you comment as to why Fairfax would purchase 3.5 million shares of Torstar. Do they know something the rest of the market doesn't.
Q: I own ACQ at a considerable loss and consider myself a patient investor. Would you recommend dumping or holding on for the longterm? Many thanks.
Q: Your input on the results. They look reasonably positive.
-
Protech Home Medical Corp. (PTQ)
-
Stars Group Inc. (The) (TSGI)
-
The Intertain Group Limited Exchangeable Shares (ITX)
Q: These three stocks are held in registered portfolios representing 6% of total investments and are down significantly. Is it "time to cut bait " and if so, can you suggest two or three promising investments we can have a look at.
Q: Comments on quarter please?
Q: As suggested, I tendered my shares for the exchangeable shares through my discount broker.
I have been wanting to sell the shares before they go to zero and have not been able to do so.
It is too late to cancel my conversion request and when I called Kingsdale they said the shares won't be at the brokers for another 7 to 10 days and I'm therefore in limbo.
I don't even think I can short sell my shares and cover with the exchangeable as they are different shares. Putting yourselves in this situation, any thoughts on how to liquidate the shares, or am I stuck?
Thanks
Sheldon

Q: Is it worth holding western forest. I have held it for two years and only get dividends no capital gains. Do you view it as a possible takeover?
Q: I watch a lot of BNN Market Call and enjoy listening to the different guests speak about stocks and different styles of investing. Some more then others.(you guys are great by the way) I always wondered if some guys have more respect on Bay Street then others? Also who would you pick to do your investing? I understand if you don't want to give out names but I am just curious!
Q: I'd like to invest in Tricon, but note that, as you say earnings are lower than in 2013/14, when it was trading between $6-$8 dollars.
1. Should I assume from this that I should wait until the stock drops to the $6-$8 level before buying?
2. Why are they having so much trouble generating earnings in an improving real estate market? Are the execs paying themselves too much?
Thanks for your opinions.
