Q: Brilliant Peter and his Wonder Team
Please give an update on ASR. How would you rate there fundamentals, balance sheet, price and value in relation to there peers? Would you suggest another within their division? Thank you!
Respectfully

Q: Intact Financial informs they are experimenting with investments abroad. They advised they invested $20 million in a broker in Brazil. Is there somewhere in their financial statement that would reveal who the broker is and what percentage of it they now own and if this may be Life Insurance or perhaps Non Standard property/auto?
Q: Genworth ($MIC) is up 5% percent to C$39.72 after earnings topped estimates. It's still a cheap stock with a big dividend. What do you think about earnings? And by how much rates would have to increase next year for it to hurt the stock?
Q: What is your opinion on using ETFs like CRQ, CIE and CLU which consider fundamental factors like cash dividends, free cash flow and sales but at a higher MER as opposed to the core low ETFs like XIC, XEF and XUS. On a long term basis, they seem to be outperforming the main indexes and normal ETFs and thus justify the higher MER.
Q: I own SGY now and would like to add more. Is now a good time or wait for a pullback. Also, is this the same management at surge since 1998. SGY was quite a bit higher in 2006 and also in 2012. Why the downfall? I just purchased SGY about 3 months ago and assumed it was a recent new company. Thanks, being able to buy and ask questions later is a big, big help. This 5i is the best and I have purchased about 8-10 other investment letters and some where real rip-offs, promoting THEIR stocks so that they could profit or get out?
DND seems to have had good quarterly results, yet the stock price is currently moving south.
What`s your opinion of the earnings and DND going forward?
Q: Hi Peter & Team, It was recently reported in the Globe & Mail that insiders have be accumulating stock of Whitecap Resources (WCP). Could i get your view on WCP? Thanks,
Q: HRC, MND,
I see Brad Mills (CEO of Mandalay) just financed Helio Resources to become its largest shareholder at 27.5%. Is this the beginnings of another Mandalay type story where he takes a microcap and builds it into a dividend paying producer?
Q: For life insurers such as SLF, I have heard many times that higher interest rates will help them because of higher earnings in their bond portfolios. But, higher interest rates should also result in capital losses on bond portfolios. Can you explain this apparent conflict?
Q: Can you please comment on Cipher's (DND) latest quarter? Do you see this as a buy , sell or hold? I was looking for them to diversify from absorbica and increase their stable of offerings.
Q: Hi team, I sold out of my ZUT and ZWU earlier this month when I got nervous about market levels, my mistake. I wonder what you think of the utilities sector at these levels. I know rising interest rates are always a concern, but I have a low level of exposure to utilities so I was thinking of establishing a small position once again (1000 or so shares). Thoughts? Thanks for your time.
Q: Would like to know your thoughts on BBw(build a bear workshop), only visited one of the stores this year and thought it was a great idea. Stock had a drop lately, a good time to buy?
Q: CMI products should be well received by the trucking industry...considering the recent pullback, would you consider it a buy or would you stick with a company like FLS
Q: FSZ - Hi guys, first question - Fiera is down, probably because they have said that there were errors in their annual reporting for all funds for 2013 - then do not adequately explain the impact of the errors - amateur mistake and poor communication. May be a buying opportunity but could you investigate and reassure me please? Here is the post: announces that it has filed revised version of each of the Funds' annual management report of fund performance (together, the "MRFPs") for the year ended December 31, 2013. The MRFPs have been revised to correct errors contained in the graphs presented under the heading entitled Year-by-Year Returns.
Copies of the MRFPs as well as copies of the cover letters detailing the revised information are available through SEDAR at www.sedar.com or through Fiera's website at www.fieracapital.com
Q: HHF. Looking for alternate asset classes to better diversify a portfolio. What is your opinion on using HHF for exposure to hedge funds? I've read articles where it discusses that this type of ETF doesn't closely correlate to the actual hedge fund index.
I currently have a well diversified portfolio with a good mix of large and small cap stocks. I was thinking of possibly replacing TCK.B (with a minor gain). Could I get your input on a suitable replacement, or if I even should be replacing it at this point?
