Q: Hello 5i,

I currently hold these stocks in an unregistered account. I have journaled over the five companies into a US account for the dividend. I would like to add possibly two more companies that pay their dividend in US funds. I have the rest of the balanced fund and some growth in my TFSA. Any suggestions to add here, and if it results in duplication, what would you remove from the list. I am well balanced and would likely have to sell at least one current stock and could just add the other if you can give me two. Was looking at Nutrien or AQN. Didn’t pull the trigger on AQN last year at 12.5.

Q: Hi,

I have a two part question. I currently have enough cash in RSP to add one new position. Disregarding the fact that these are completely different companies/sectors, which security looks most attractive today as an entry point for a long term hold - ATA, GSY, or MX?

And second part, considering that some believe Sept-Oct can be a volatile period, would you generally think its ok to purchase now, or would it be prudent to wait until Nov?

Q: Hi,

I have losses that I am holding in ITC, CRH, and WCP inside my TFSA. I would like to sell one or all of these in order to add to some of the other names listed. In which order would you sell first, as well as which ones would you add to right now considering where the stock is trading at currently? Thanks!

Q: Hello,
I own ATA and AIF in my RRIF account, both of them suffering a small loss. I would like to replace one or both of them with ECN. What is your thought? I usually like to hold stocks for at least 3 years. Thank you very much.

Q: I bought this stock at $20.00 this summer and at that time had a great looking chart. It went to $24.00 within a month and since then is falling like a rock. Yesterday the company an acquisition in Italie. Would this be the cause of the 10% drop today? Is there other news that we do not know about? Is the fundamentals still good for this company (PE, debt, PB,etc)?

Q: Hi 5i, Seasons Greetings. I generally am a buy and hold type but could use some tax losses against earlier gains this year. The above mentioned stocks could be sold and repurchased in early January. Would that be prudent? Is there anything I should not repurchase? Thanks, Ted

Q: Hi Guys, my above holdings got wacked lately and was wondering if there is anything going on, from the above list should I sell anything besides WEED, are the institutions selling these companies because they think there is more to the downside? These are long term holdings are all up except for COV and KXS which I just bought before the tumble, not one of my best moves.
