Q: hello 5i:
today, would you sell (if already owned), AC; and buy EIF (not owned). Why or why not? Would there be 3 or 4 income stocks you'd prefer to EIF in the Industrial space?
thanks

Q: The multi voting shares trade at a ~5% premium to the subordinates, is there a coattail provision for the sub shares in the event of a takeover/privatization and how likely is this considering the family ownership?

TCL.a is in the Income portfolio at a 2.5% weight and 38% reduction from purchase price, would you consider the weight appropriate, and with an event such as a takeover would you expect a premium close to what was paid for the shares or could it possibly be a takeunder?

Q: I have been monitoring the above list of stocks. I have some cash to deploy in the names. Can you please list the above names in your preferred order to purchase them. Which ones you like the best? Should I wait for tax loss selling season to see more pressure on the names. Thank you for your opinion.

Q: Hello 5i,
I need to increase the following: ABBVIE, CCL, AQN. ENB. LSPD. and TCL. Some like LSPD I hold as a satellite as I am mostly a value investor but will take advantage of your suggestions on a good growth opportunity but smaller scale than my value equities. Please list the above in the order that I would slowly increase these holdings by $2,000 at a time.
thank you
Stanley

Q: Hi Guys,

Should have provided a little more background on my earlier question about risk in the above Consumer Cyclical stocks.

1) I'm happy with sector weighting, and want to keep it at 15% ish. I want to hold these stock for 10+ years while they grow.

2) My view of risk was around which companies would be in trouble given company specific risk like bad takeover, too much debt...etc. I'm not concerned about market downturn as I've been through several and good companies will survive.

3) In order to keep my weighting I was looking for replacement ideas for the riskiest stocks.

Thanks,
Chris M

Q: Transcontinental is being used by Salt over a 2017 newspaper deal. Is this a huge impact for transcontinental shares. The shares have already been cut in half. Still a value play or trap? How much more downside with this overhang would you predict.
