Q: Hello Peter,
I was expecting Fairfax, CRH medical, and Constellation to go up significantly after the earnings announcement. Fairfax dipped, CRH and CSU went up slightl. Any comments please? Do you think it is too late to enter Electrovaya at 3.40 or above? Also, do you think Knight (gud) is a type of stock you can buy and hold it for years given the credibility of the management team? Thanks very much.

Q: What do you think about Cameco? It has had a large fall in the past day. Is the price low enough to buy and wait now? Is the dividend safe? Tim G, of Cameco said that they do forward averaging currency contracts for currency price protection. What kind of exchange prices are they getting now and when will it change to the current exchange? Once it does that should help their bottom line, I believe.

Q: In the past I have just held a few stocks (PHM was one of them) but am now planning to take a much larger position in the Canadian market and would very much welcome your opinion, comments and suggestions on the list of stocks I have chosen. They were chosen largely based on their current price and the apparent opportunity for capital gain. What do you think.

Q: Hello Peter and 5i team,
My YTD numbers are nothing to write home about; the main reason being that I have no exposure to gold, silver and base metals. However I'd like your opinion on the quality of my holdings within the specified market segment shares:
Consumer 10.9% (ATD,BYD,CGX,DHX,DOL)
Cyclicals 2.4% (LNR,MG)
Energy 4.1% (TOU,VET,WCP)
Energy Infra 3.7% (ENB,KEY)
Financials 10.3% (BAM,BNS,CXI,DH,EFN,SLF,TD)
Health/Pharma 4.4% (CRH,CXR,GUD,PLI)
Industrials 9.8% (BIP,BOS,CNR,KBL,MDA,MSI,STN,WSP)
Materials 7.4% (CCL,CHE,SJ)
Technology 15.1% (CSU,DSG,ESL,GIB,KXS,OTC)
Util/Telco/RE 11.8% (AQN,BCE,BEP,CIG,FSV,TCN)
Cash 20.9% (one third of which is set aside for my 2017 income)
Thanks,
Antoine

Q: We are elderly and fully invested in 23 dividend paying stocks now, and have full positions in TRP, IPL and PPL. I am considering selling IPL and PPL down to a 1/2 position, adding to my VET and AAR.UN to bring each of them to 2/3 pos'n and taking a 2/3 pos'n in EIF. I should add that our present portfolio is 28% in the green with nothing in the red and I manage it daily. Do my changes sound reasonable to you given the present environment? Thanks, Ted

Q: just a comment , but i am quite sure you guys are missing the boat on maryjane stocks, i own the above 2 and all i do is make money.
the point is you do not value these stocks on financial metrics, but on the future and the market is astronomical and legalization is coming in a hurry where licensed producers will mint money.and medical maryjane is huge and getting a lot bigger especially for the elderly with all their aches and pains including me. please comment. dave

Q: What are your thoughts on gopro? Does it seem good for growth or a possible take over?
Is there any other tech or energy stocks (since many oil companies are down right now) that would make a good takeover target? Buying companies seem to pay decent premiums when it comes to takeovers and id like to take advantage of it.

Thanks
