Q: ATRL hit a new high yesterday because they somewhat exceeded expectations and growth is forecast. Have your thoughts on ATRL changed? Certainly the company still has some legacy problem projects / debts but they seem to be resolving them. There appears to be growth, relating to CANDU nuclear reactor refurbishment inside Canada and new reactors in located in Romania. Romania is a member of the European Union but there is governance instability with the leading candidate being described as anti EU, anti NATO, Moscow (& Trump) friendly etc.
I have owned WSP for over 10 years now so I am well ahead but my weighting is still reasonable so I'm not looking to sell. I also have my doubts about ATRL but it is undeniable that the stock has positive momentum now so it is of interest to me to broaden out my construction engineering basket. ATRL is doing better but it is going to require continued strength in CANDU nuclear work to stay successful. I don't think the government of Canada will pull the plug on ATRL, the engineering talent is already inside ATRL but Romania maybe is a wild card.
Q: I'm looking to add some bitcoin exposure to my portfolio. What is the best way to do this? I know of MSTR and FBTC but I saw in a previous question that you prefer the bitcoin etf or whatnot to be in usd. Can you recommend some stocks or ETF that would give this exposure without having to purchase it directly?
Q: I'm writing to follow up on your response to Josh's questions regarding beaten-down Canadian stocks.
Would you kindly rank your preferred order of purchases among the names discussed? Are there any that you would consider "table-pounding" buys at current levels?
Please also include your thoughts on CNQ, as well as FOUR, ROAD, and CLBT.
Q: Profit margin increased, higher revenue... in a tough retail environment Leon's seems to be getting stronger. Would you agree?
Could you comment on earnings.
Wouldyou add?
Q: Long time holder of BYD. Currently have BYD at 1.9% and CPRT at 1%. CPRT has really outperformed BYD over many timeframes. BYD is consumer cycl. and CPRT is industrial. I'm up 20% on BYD and 39% on CPRT. BYD has been a frustrating stock over the past few years but CPRT has shown resiliency and stable compounding growth. Thoughts on the BYD earnings and both companies going forward? Continue to hold both or I was thinking of selling BYD and adding to my CPRT. Thoughts? Thanks!
Q: Everyone, since January 1st I was down 23 % then today I have rebounded to even for the year. Lots of noise but having the best of the best means just waiting for the noise to end. The noise always ends! Clayton
Q: Hello Team,
Could you give me a short commentary on both and which would you prefer for total return over the next couple of years. I already own Telus and wonder if there would be too much overlap to own both.
Thank You,
Barry
Can you list 5 undervalued or beaten up Canadian stocks you feel are poised for growth in the next 2-3 years?
Also, RBC has had a real run, is it a good time to step in or would you wait? For a bank would you consider RBC’s stock price expensive?
Thanks for all you do!
Q: In the category of Defense equipment companies do you see CAE as a good buy or would Europe be a better place to look? I am not interested in U,S, companies.
