Q: The Open Ai creation of a video prompted by text (Sora) has resulted in ADBE dropping substantially. It does seem like Ai will be very disruptive in many ways. Is ADBE still buyable? If so what would be a good entry price? Thank you. John
Q: Regarding Frank's question on Pinetree Capital
It is seemingly up because they hold shares in Bravura Solutions traded on the ASX and main reason is they reported nice results a few days ago.
Some connections to Constellation Software here as of course Mark Leonard's son Damien runs this company (Pinetree) as I am sure you know and they seem to align with Constellations investments a few times (holding Sygnity and Topicus) and a Volaris Group Vice President (Shezad Okhai) joined Pinetree in 2021and then left for Bravura Solutions in 2023... they look undervalued when you review all their investments and report soon.
Q: I note that one can now buy PANW via a CDR in Canada. In looking at PANW today, after the 28% drop in SP on Wed, there are at least 2 US law firms soliciting clients for a possible suit. The company didn't have a great quarter so they got punished. Not a crime. Market fluctuation. Price was lofty. Are these potential suits just noise that most companies deal with from time to time, or is there cause for concern? Wanting to buy at the discounted price, but should perhaps look elsewhere.
Q: I owned this stock before the run up to $60.
Did the stock just move on guidance since the last quarter wasn’t that great I thought?
How credible are these predictions? Would that mean few good quarters fort Stantec?
Is RIVN dead?! Do you think Jeff Bezos will perform CPR........again?! My thesis getting into it with a small portion was that they had a "ready made" customer..i.e. Amazon warehouses and deliveries. That we were going to see RIVN vehicles everywhere in North America, delivering our stuff! Anyway, please gaze into your crystal ball and tell me if it will bounce at all. TSLA seems to have bounced nicely, eh?!
Q: Dear 5i
I`m reading that some analysts see CLS as a stock that won`t do any better than what the market in general is suppose to return , and as such is not worth the investment maybe when compared to other stocks . What would you say ? Also EQB or GSY and why ?
Thanks
Bill C
Q: I have funds for 2 of the above. Please rank 1-4 in the order you would invest today for maximum growth over 5 years. If there is an industrial/materials that has yet to be discussed in the 5i pages that should be considered, then please include. Thanks
Help,
I seem to have some warrants referenced to CSU’s Series 1 Debentures. But, I am having difficulty understanding why I have them and whether or not they can be exercised.
Q: In the last couple of days there has been a few references on BNN to some regulatory changes that will have the effect of reducing the rates paid on HISAs at banks, etc. Can you pls explain exactly what is happening and how much effect there will be from this? Last, are there reasonable alternatives (ie secure with good rates) available if the rates go down in any significant way? Thanks for your excellent service
Q: On January 9, 2024, LNTH reported preliminary Fiscal 2023 Revenue between $1.295 – $1.297B. The stock price dropped from $65.30 to around $51 over 10 days. Lantheus reported 4Q on February 22 and the stock price jumped 14.71%. 2023 Revenue was $1.3B. 2024 Revenue guidance is $1.41 - $1.445B, with Adjusted diluted EPS guidance of $6.50 - $6.70. This about 7% revenue and 4% - 7% EPS annual growth. Adjusted 4Q EPS was $1.47 beat estimate of $1.45. Using 2023 Adjusted EPS, the P/E is 9. My questions are:
1) The 14.71% price jump brought the stock price back up the level it was before January 9, 2024 announcement. I am trying to understand the market action – would you please explain or best guess?
2) In your answers to Kel question on February 7, 2024 and Neil’s question on January 9, 2024, it was mentioned LNTH growth rate has slowdown, “The company has been reinvesting heavily in the last two years to pursue growth.” The 4Q result and 2024 guidance confirm growth has slowdown. Is this a value trap? Do you think the stock price would be stagnant for awhile until growth is reestablish?
Q: Hello, could you please provide your insights on Definity Financial's earnings results? Do you consider it a viable long-term investment? Additionally, if the stock were to be sold in the future, do you have any predictions on potential buyers? Thank you.
Q: 23% of my portfolio is invested in utilities (carefully selected stocks+ETFs + covered call ETfs (and some leveraged ETFs) for the following reasons: 1) dividends as revenue + various tax advantages 2) its seems to me that utilities are quite "essentials" in a society during crisis, even if interests are high 3) covered calls for revenue + to compensate for the actual high volatility + some protection for potentially down markets. Your opinion on this approach ,as any suggestion , shall be greatly appreciated ! regards Jean-Yves
Q: I know the valuation is high, but why is this bird just flying sky high, is it possible that they just have the best tasting wings in the business and the customers are voting with there tastebuds, and the shareholders are just eating it up.
Thanks Again
