Q: Comments please on the quarter and the conference call if you had a chance to listen. This is a dud for me and still own from the BE portfolio when it was added. Would you still sell it? Thx

Q: I hold the following in my balanced equity type portfolio and they all represent less than a half position, either because they have dropped or because they have not kept up with the rest of the portfolio. I have enough new money to top up 4 or 5 of them to their original weightings. Which would you top up at this point and which would you simply let go?
Q: Hi,
Could you please share your opinion? It has been showing some upward momentum recently. I know this has been taken out of the balanced portfolio. Do you see any positive changes since then ? Thanks

Q: Hello,
Could you please comments on CLS earning results. Is it cheap compare to its peers and its historic valuation?
Thanks
Victor

Q: CLS...."just can't let go" that me....now it is 1.20% of my balanced portfolio with a 49.9% loss...given I've held for so long while it declined but now with "worst" tech news, do I just dump it or is there (hopefully) sunshine on the horizon for CLS?.......Tom

Q: Earnings today. Another disappointment. Is it time to move on or stay put for a possible buy out.
Q: I read that you recommend GC as a replacement for CLS? I already own TSGI and wonder if I should buy GC or another company. I own KXS, OTEX ,SYZ already.
thanks
thanks
Q: I own a lot of Celestica as a value stock but closer to $16. The stock moves every day higher and keeps closing at higher highs. 5i removed it from the portfolio due to a low weighing. Do you think Onex may be looking at selling or is it that finally earnings will start improving. Would it make a good takeover for a company and if so who may be interested.
Q: I currently own CLS in a RRSP account and wonder if I should sell this stock ? If so would you buy OTEX or ET or maybe both.I have 6 years before retiring. I do hold KXS already.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I am wondering what price do you use as the sold price to calculate performance when you take a company out of of your portfolio. For example CLS was recently taken out. May I know which price would you use for performance calculations ? Thanks
Q: Morning 5i, Can I get your opinion on these companies. Would you recommend alternative stocks ? or stay put!
thanks.
thanks.
Q: Comments please on CLS earnings and your opinion going forward. I currently hold the in my US account, do you prefer others or would you stay the course?
Q: Whats driving CLS stock higher?
Is this a good opportunity to pick up SQ? What do you think of the bearish SQ report that drove the stock lower?

Q: I currently own CLS and thinking of selling this stock and buying SYZ or OTEX or would it be best to buy both? I currently already have KXS and PHO. These are the only 2 tech stocks that I will own after selling CLS. My total weight is only 5%.
Thanks
Thanks

Q: About a month ago, I sold these equities, with the only reason being to take a tax loss against gains I took earlier in the year. This has left me with some liquidity. What do you recommend regarding re-purchasing these companies, or waiting for a more stable or upward momentum. Generally, my portfolio follows your balanced equity portfolio.

Q: Hi Peter,
Please deduct as many credits as you see fit. I have some losers (some big) as per below:
Margin account
CLIQ down 52%
PHO down 37%
MX down 20%
TFII down 23%
ECN down 13%
NFI down 11%
TFSA
GUD down 17%
CLS down 20%
DOL down 38%
TSGI down 47%
RRSP
DOO down 43%
COV down 26%
Here are my questions.
1- Should I claim the capital loss with CLIQ and PHO and repurchase in 30 days?
2- Are there any names there that I should just sell and move on to something else? What would be your top 3 replacements for the removed names in that case?
3- My initial thought was to inject new money in CLIQ, PHO, DOL, TSGI, DOO and COV to bring these names back to my initial weight. Would this be a good move in your opinion?
These names are part of a diversified portfolio and don’t need the funds for another 10 years minimum.
Much appreciate your service. Your responses to this market volatility have kept me from panicking as I did in 2008. I thank you for that.

Q: Good morning,
I currently do not own the above listed equities from the BE Portfolio which I follow pretty closely. Are there any you would not recommend purchasing right now? Thanks for your counsel. I am watching sector allocations.
