Q: Good Morning. I am selling off some of my more volatile US tech stocks in my RRIF and am looking to redeploy the proceeds into US stable Dividend payors. Can you please suggest 5 or 6 US Dividend stocks ( other than US Tech) to look at? Thanks

Q: I'm a bit confused when I look at your assessment when you refer to ATD being a defensive position whereby it's considered a consumer cyclical in your classification. I understand that it could be an hybrid. How do I deal with my position weighting as my cons staples is underweight VS overweight in my cyclical by the same amount...

We're currently overweight Technology. Given this information from "Simply Wall Street", is this a "red flag" for Enghouse, and might this be the one to let go? We also hold CSU, KXS, and TOI. Our gain in ENGH is 70%, which pales in comparison to CSU's gain of 401% (thank you 5i for continually recommending Constellation!) ENGH and CSU were purchased around the same time, but KXS was purchased later (up 101%) and TOI of course has been held only since the "spin-off" (but still up 39%).

Maybe I'm reading too much into this insider selling, but your opinion is important to me.

Q: Hello. In reviewing my portfolio, I realize that I lack exposure to US markets. I am therefore thinking of purchasing an VFV ETF. I am 66 years old and receive a reasonable pension. While I have an RRSP, I have not contributed to it for many years, choosing instead to build my TFSA. Given that my TFSA is now topped up, would it make sense to add VFV to my RRSP (better tax advantages??) or add it to an open investment account that I currently hold?

You have mentioned in the past that Amazon needs Shop or it runs into monopoly problems and that Shop has a strong moat.

When I look at the size difference Amazon has 14x the market cap and 1500x the employees.

When I look at stock price Amazon has been a steady climber with a minimal hit over the past 6 months vs Shop being more than halved in mkt cap.

If I were CEO of Amazon reviewing the co. dashboards and heatmaps - I think I would look at the Shopify roadmap and see either noise or an opportunity we could setup for and pre-empt (if that business is on our roadmap).

How scalable is Shop given that Amazon has a long track record, the most money and supply chains to the best strategic minds?
How sustainable is the Shop competitive advantage?

I ask this wondering how likely Shop is to regain the lofty $2000 level.

Q: xbc appeared to report good earnings. stock went up big one day and then down big the next. webroker reports new analyst ratings of 1 sell, 2 hold and 1 buy. can you make sense of this? why the market hesitation?
