Q: In your opinion, what price point is too low for CGX, and the chance of rebound is high? In other words at what stock price level do you think the market will have overreacted in selling off?
My wife a while back made a small spec play on BVO. It was converted to ZENA and she was also issued the same number of shares in CUBICFARM SYS COM 4 MONTH. They are currently not trading and are valued at zero. What are they and will they start trading? Also since its such a small position should she just hang on to ZENA or take her profits and move on?
Q: Hi Peter
What do you think of the new equal weight European ETF ."EQE"
Looks like Europe's version of the U.S. S&P 500 ETF "SPY"
Best time to buy is when it's low.... Europe will eventually start growing again.
Q: I have an existing bond allocation in ZAG in registered accounts. However, in order to maintain an appropriate asset allocation I need to start holding fixed income in a corporate cash account. Do you have any concerns using HBB for this purpose (e.g. size, liquidity, etc)?
According to my broker's website IPL insiders performed the following transactions on December 31, 2018:
NATURE OF TRANSACTION SECURITY PRICE
Rights Exercise Rights Restricted Share Units $19.18
Over 140,000 share units were involved
Can you please explain as to what these transactions are all about ? Are they rights not exercised? Further are these transactions positive with respect to the activities of the insiders?
In general what is your opinion with respect to the activities of the IPL insiders?
Thank you as always for your insight.
Q: Hi guys
I have held Lassonde for a long time and done very well, but the past year has not been kind to the stock price. And then there is this recent profit warning. I have not issue being patient if this is a blip but wonder whether this is the start of a trend with trade issues and people turning away from fruit juices. Your thoughts on this profit warning and this company going forward. By the way thank you so very much for bringing CSU to my attention as it has gone up exponentially since your recommendation many years ago. I harvested a bit of my profits today to bring the holding back to 5%.
Thanks
Stuart
Q: With recent happenings on ATZ would you consider this a buy, sell, or hold point now?? It would seem that company fundamentals are still good so would you expect share value to bounce back and even improve since ATZ is buying back many of their own shares??
Q: Is Versa Bank a good bank stock to buyas a new bank?
Smaller company but excellent track record for growth and return?
Online and just opened a deposit box for crypto currencies?
Q: My last Crius Energy dividend was paid January 15th for shares recorded on Dec. 31. Will the final June 17 dividend be for five months to May 31 ( unless the deal closes earlier)?.
Today's bump was a nice surprise. If the other bidder folds, is there a chance the price will revert to $7.57 or is $8.80 a solid bid?
Thanks.
Q: Is viavi, the old JDSU, at the forefront of 5G? Lots of good news from the company and the stock hit a new high today. When they split into two companies, Lumentum did great but Viavi went nowhere. How are they positioned now?
This is my first non-tech question in quite a while. I try to balance my tech stocks with some names in other sectors. CF came to my attention today from a TD report. It is on one of my watch lists but I haven’t followed it closely in a couple of years. TD gives it a Buy, Higher Risk rating with a target of $9.50 although I don’t find target prices very meaningful. Part of their rationale is CF’s recent purchase of U.S.-based advisory firm Petsky Prunier, who focus on mid-market segments and have a growing presence in the cannabis space for IPOs and mergers in the U.S. CF itself seems to have a strong presence in cannabis deals in Canada and potentially internationally. The cannabis segment is here to stay, regardless of the high valuations. I am not a weed guy as such, but if CF can continue to grab a good chuck of these deals, it may bode well for it.
What are the pros and cons of an investment in CF at this time? I notice you gave it a B- in your Company report last August, which is not a strong grade, but perhaps things have changed.
