Q: EGLX seems to be in a big downtrend since April, why are investors selling the stock. Another 5% haircut today on good volume. Wonder if I should buy more, hold or move on. As always thanks for your insight. Anthony

Q: I realize that you have a generally favourable view of EGLX, but it seems overly extreme that the SP has declined more than 40% since 3 May. Any insight other than investors shunning small caps? A short attack?
Thanks as always.
Thanks as always.

Q: Hi Team,
Three part question. Firstly, I know as professionals you do not recommend “winners” climbing to over a certain % of ones Portfolio. However, if early investors in Apple or shopify for example would of bailed ; some would not be millionaires now. Or in some cases , billionaires where the CEO’s are holding most their wealth in their company stock. How can one hope to land that “life changing trade”(1000% or more) if one keeps trimming eternal winners ? Does it not make sense if a person finds that “winning company” to keep holding of goals are set high?
Secondly..is GSY one of those stocks, if you were to choose the likelihood of a solid company with good prospects, to choose to be overweight in and aim for that life changing 1000% move over a 10 yr or so period? I ask this company specifically because I am overweight this company and this is my goal. (Up over 200% so far and metrics still make this stock look cheap to me)
Thirdly… if you were to speculate a few different companies, either US or Cnd as your “best guess’s” so to speak of having the likelihood of producing 1000% gains over the next 10yrs or so; what would they be? Thanks for your input and deduct credits as you see fit. Thanks
Shane

Q: Of the listed which 2 would you think have the greatest growth potential for a TFSA account over the next 5 years ? Could you suggest list any two others which you might think have better potential irrespective of sector.
Thanks

Q: Hi,
If you could own only one today, which one would you choose?
Risk and sector allocation are not a concern.

Q: Hello Peter,
I have GDI in my TFSA account and have done well so far.
Thank you.
However, I feel there is not much growth in the future and am considering replacing it with either EGLX or AT. The hesitancy stems due to the old adage - don't fix if it ain't broken. From a reward perspective, is the increase in risk justified ? I would appreciate your selection amongst the three for the TFSA. Subsequently , a preference amongst the remaining two for a margin account.
Do you consider GDI a growthy stock with a dividend yield?
Regards
Rajiv

Q: Hi 5i,
I'm hoping you can 'unconfuse' me.
In answer to Bob's question about LUCK on June 25 you said you prefer EGLX and in answer to a question about BRAG on June 8 you discussed SCR. All the questions had to do with the recent change allowing single game betting. I had thought that EGLX and BRAG are gaming platforms and SCR and LUCK are betting platforms, and therefore serve totally different markets, so I don't understand why they are discussed in the same breath, and I also don't understand how the recent legislative change might benefit EGLX and BRAG, although I can readily see how it might be positive for SCR and LUCK.
Can you help me out?
Thanks,
Peter

Would you be able to suggest some worthy companies in the sports betting area?
Are valuations reasonable right now? Is 5i interested in any of them?
Cheers,

Q: Positive news for gambling sites with bill C-218 passing today. Its likely not to be implemented for a few months yet, to give time for the provinces to set their own rules. Predicted to be a 4B-5B annual market in Canada.
I have strong conviction in EGLX, the future growth in years to follow with gaming, e-sports and now legal single-game betting. Full position already, in a TFSA, looking for torque, and willing to wait. What's not to like?!

Q: I am interested in your thoughts on the recent marked decline in Enthusiast Gaming. I have not seen any news that supports this change.

Q: My wife and I are each opening up a TFSA with 75000 initial deposit in each account. We are thinking of putting 5-8 ETF's into the one account and 10-12 stocks into the other account. Wondering if this is a good strategy or if you would suggest something different? The emphasis would be primarily on growth, but not at extreme risk. Can you recommend 5 or more ETF's (and percentage allotted for each) for good diversity for the one account, and 10-12 stocks equally spread out to cover the $75,000 in the other account.
Please deduct as many credits as appropriate.
Many thanks, Jake

Q: I am looking at what to do with cash in my TFSA once cash from PHO is available. (nice gain -thank you !)
Shown below are existing positions in my TFSA that are in negative or small positive territory. My portfolio has a good weighting in tech, so staying in that sector not necessary. Would appreciate your thoughts on which of these (if any) you would choose to add to and in what priority. As always, thank you .

XBC ( -32%, currently 2 % of total portfolio)
AT (0%, currently 1.25% of total portfolio)
EGLX (+4%, currently 1.45 % of total portfolio)

Q: I am participating in a fun challenge at work wherein all staff get $100,000 of play money to invest in stocks June 30, 2021. The "portfolios" will all be valued September 30, 2021 and the three highest value portfolios win a small prize. I know this is nothing more than a crap shoot, but can you recommend a few (I'm thinking 5 or less) stocks that might run during that period?
Q: I'm confused. EGLX already trades on the TSX and NASDAQ. I see there is an IPO. I thought an IPO was to become public on an exchange, but they are already there. Can you clear the fog? and would you consider this (whatever this is) as a good move?
Q: Typical market reaction to financing. Who are the main backers of this company and does 5i still see long term potential . Thanks Steve
Q: Hi,
I have a small position in EGLX was looking for an entry to add to my existing position. Would you consider today’s drawdown a decent time to add to that position?
Thanks.
