Q: My grandson of 23 is starting his 1st tfsa with $2500 to begin and needs a core holding start. please suggest a stock only and etf only models. Which one or mixed off, would you deploy today.

Q: I recently borrowed from my HELOC to top up our TFSAs. I'm thinking of potentially keeping it simple and going TEC + XAW (40/60 split). This would give me quite a bit of US exposure but thought of bumping up US exposure. Would it make sense to instead buy VUN + VIU + VEE in a 70/23/7 split instead of XAW which has a lower US allocation? Do you think US equities will continue to outperform world over 10+ year horizon?

Also thinking instead of the 40% allocation in TEC, should I take a small position in ARKK or other ARK funds? Maybe 30% TEC, 10% ARKK? I feel like many of the names in ARKK fund are priced to perfection. Thanks

Q: Lost faith in CEO & his declaration that GUD is for grandchildren while the world is moving faster & faster.He is living on his past success.As a comparsion Well is making acquistions after acquistion, the latest being CRH,which is considered very beneficial. Has a 3% position in my TFSA bought many moons ago @ $10.16 incurring a44.6% loss.My thinking to sell it, if no catalyst in the horizon ,to buy better potential growth companies like ARKK &/or CURI.Still has 1% in non-registered a/c. I would like to add one more eft to my balance (75%) and growth (25%) portfolio, what would be your top North American pick for a 3 to 5 year hold? I already hold Arkk 3%, Dxg 7%, Arkg 2% and Tan 3.5%. Or should I just add to one of the ones already inside my portfolio.

Q: I would very much appreciate explaining the difference between ARK and Evolve Etf's. Are ARKs actively managed while Evolves are passively managed? Would you please choose two or three of each that have a balance between better growth and lower risk and provide good diversification.

Q: I am 60 years old, and I don't need the upcoming major problems that the world central banks are creating lead to the destruction of my retirement. So I am diversifying.

I currently hold the traditional Canadian dividend paying stocks, growing exposure to Emerging market ETF's, Gold bullion / ETF, commodity stocks, Infrastructure / Renewable Energy via the Brookfields, a few big name US stocks, and now entering the crypto world.

Here is my question: I read a recent article on Cathie Wood - CEO of Ark Invest. She claims:

"Seeded during the tech and telecom bubble more than 20 years ago, the five main platforms of innovation that we think will transform the global economy are: DNA sequencing, robotics, energy storage, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. These involve 14 technologies including gene therapies, 3D printing, cloud computing, big data analytics, and cryptocurrencies."

I already have a pension from a Robotics-related company, and I am investing in crypto. Do you have any recommendations for anything else from what she mentioned, in which you would share her outlook? I have both CAD and USD accounts. Could be company or ETF - big or small.
