Q: Hi

Your recent answer to Steven on December 08 2020 appears to favor EDGE. (Not able to pull this symbol on your database yet. Comes up as Edge therapeutics)
I also know that ARKK is one of your favorites through your answers to others' questions.
Now that AUM is going up with EDGE, and their lower fees (50% less than ARKK) would you say EDGE for a 2% initial position and for adding a little bit more if there is a correction is reasonable?
I am bit surprised that a Canadian ETF company offers an all in ETF for a lower fees compared to its US counterparts. How do they do it?!!

Q: Contemplating selling VGT and buying ARKK. The only thing stopping me is ARKK's 10% investment in TESLA. Would you stay away from ARKK given its strong bet on this one stock with a history of volatility? Additionally, how do you see TESLA's price (and therefore ARKK's) being impacted by TESLA's addition later this month to the S&P500? Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i guys,
I came across the ETF EDGE from Evolve that is not in your database.
It looks intriguing as a vehicle (in CDN$) to invest in global innovative/disruptive companies. Am looking at it for a small portion of my TFSA.
Also noticed that Evolve is coming out with a new ETF in the near future called DATA.
Any information/opinion on EDGE and/or an alternative in the space is appreciated.
Thanks, Steve

Q: Seems to me that we are a turning point in our world today. What with the problems the pandemic faces us with and those connected to climate change I think we are in need of some truly innovative companies that are dedicated to solving these kinds of serious problems. My question is, do you know of any ETFs that are focussed on companies with innovative ideas that will help to solve problems? I guess I'm looking for an "Innovation" ETF . If this is not possible, could you suggest a number of companies dedicated to innovative ways to help solve these kinds of problems.

Q: Could I have your views on the Emerge suite of etfs; EAUT, EARK, EAGB, EAFT and EAAI. Returns so far seem to be pretty good but wondering if some of those could become part of a personal portfolio. Haven't heard very many questions on these particular etfs.

Q: Looking at three ARK funds: ARKF, ARKG, ARKK. ARKK appeals most, but I'm concerned about the high concentration (and potential over-evaluation) of Tesla. Which fund would you prefer overall and why? And could you please rate them for risk and potential return? Thank you.

Q: First, I wanted to thank you for your Canadian portfolio suggestions, especially for the balanced and growth ones. I've been very lucky on timing, still I am extremely happy with the service, advices and the gains this year. On another note, I am looking to allocate 10%-15% of my locked-in RSP in either an international or global well managed portfolio composed of small cap and/or mid cap stocks. Looking for intelligent high risk. I have a long time horizon (I am 30 years old). I would prefer actively managed or an ETF you strongly believe in, diversified and with a strong track record. I had MAW150 in mind, but when I look at the top 10 positions individually... They are pretty much all at their all time high and I'm not sure if they have a lot more room for growth ahead this year or next year factoring all the risk that remains. I know it's almost impossible to time the market, but if I can dodge a speculative correction like there was for tech this week, I would be more than happy. All that said, which one(s) would you recommend considering the most for September 2020 based on your expertise.
Thank you again.

Q: What do you think of Innovation as a new sector? Here is a quote from a white paper published by Ark Funds:

"Based on our analysis presented in this paper, we believe innovation should be considered as a strategic allocation, if not a sub-asset class, in global public equity portfolios, much as emerging markets have evolved during the last 40 years. In our ever-changing world, as industries are disintermediated or displaced, and lifespans of companies shorten, investors should capitalize on alternative sources of growth by rethinking traditional asset allocation. Specifically, we think investors should ask themselves whether they sufficiently have incorporated disruptive innovation into their portfolio construction." From https://arkinv.st/3lJMsrl

Q: Dear 5i,
I would like to spice-up my portfolios with small allocations to some small/mid-cap/thematic/sector ETFs. The Active ETF's can be sold on a US or CDN exchange and the holdings can be in any country. Can you suggest as many as you can so I can do some further research. (ie ARK products look interesting to me)

thanks for your suggestions

Q: COVID-19 has pushed forward the whole work at home concept. That said, technology supporting this shift in working norms will be sought after. I own a few big tech companys now, yet there are so many more names that have been pushed into the limelight (like Zoom), that are extremely expensive. Would you think it better to buy an ETF or two rather than trying to pick individual stock future winners? Any ETF or otherwise suggestions?
Thanks

Q: Can I please have your opinion on Ark Innovators ETF. It has come off some from its highest level this year. Do you still see potential in starting a position with a long term view.? Would the shift from growth to value will continue putting pressure on this ETF?
Would investing in a value ETF be a better approach in this market?
