Interested to know what your thoughts of this market moving foward (e.g. re-test the lows in March, low downward drag, best to continue to buy small and steady over time, sell anything that might have been bought too high at the rally)? I ask this question as I assume all your subscribers are wondering as these markets are difficult to navigate.

Q: What do the most recent financial statements look like.
What do you think their current financial position is.
Their huge dividend has recently been cut.
Perhaps an acquisition in the future?

Q: Preferred shares.
If a company get taken over by another, do their preferred shares if not redeemed at par, get listed on the other company pref.shares.
for example , hypothetically If Husky got taken over by Suncor, would their preferred then get the benefit of higher rating?

Q: Hello Peter et al.

I hope you are all doing well in these unprecedented times. I would like an explanation of the ETF price movement of XLB.TO through these markets. When the markets began to crash to the lows in late March, XLB price surged all the way up to $29.00 and then dropped suddenly all the way to $22.00 and has since bounced all the way back to around $27.00 now? I expected the rise in price because stocks were dropping precipitately but I did not expect it then to drop all the way down to $22. Why did that happen? Also it has bounced back to $27.00 now and why is that as well? What am I missing here in my understanding of this bond ETF? I would have thought the bond prices would have went higher because people would have transferred into bonds for security in these uncertain times. Am I wrong in my interpretation here? I expected the same with gold and gold stocks went down for a bit because of mine closures due to COVID-19. They have since rebounded nicely due to mines being re-opened now and they are producing gold again at good prices. Thanks for the great service. Please educate me here.

Q: Wells Fargo has taken a big hit recently. Do you think it might be worth buying some shares in this bank? Is the dividend yield (currently at about 7.4%) sustainable?

I have held BNS for quite some time and am down about 20%. Just wondering if I should add to my position (about 1% of my portfolio) or sell. I am assuming that the high dividend will keep being paid (as most experts say Canadian banks don't cut dividends).

Q: I noted an earlier answer that preferred life companies over banks at the moment, for a new investment. I am currently overweight financials and dont want to leave the probable dividend stream. However, should I be thinking about divesting banks to a degree and buy life cos? If so, which banks to punt ( don't be shy, I have them all) and which life cos to buy? I currently hold PFE, GUD and COV (although this may go after being patient a little longer) in healthcare.
I am currently considering ABBV as an addition and wondering what your thoughts are on it at this time.
