Q: Can you suggest one or two US listed precious metals ETFs?

Q: I've asked a few questions on GDXY before but I'm still trying to get my head around the reasons for the fluctuations in yield . As I understand it they invest in the Van Eck gold miners index writing covered calls .... Nothing particularly spooky there. There are other covered call ETF's that invest in gold mines . But none of them have a yield anywhere near what GDXY does..... So I would like an explanation of why ? Two months ago the dividend that went into my account was 59% { calculated annually " } . Last month it was 68% { calculated annually } . This morning it was 26.9% { calculated annually } ...... That's a considerable difference from the previous two months . And looking at both the VIX { for volatility in option pricing } and a graph of gold prices doesn't account for it ..... Please explain just exactly how this fund works ? .....And why the considerable drop ? ...... Also please confirm my calculation of this month's yield ? ..... { If my financial institution screwed up the amount that should have gone into my account I want to know about it } .....Thanks again for your terrific service .....

Q: Are there any advantages to buying a physical gold bar at Costco vs holding in through an etf such as GLD?
Secondly, notwithstanding the incredible recent run up in the commodity and the miners, what is your outlook on gold for the next 5 to 10 years?
Lastly, if the sector is still appealing to you, would you buy the commodity etf, a seniors etf or a juniors etf?

Q: Just a little more clarification on my question on GDXY . First what is a " synthetic call/write strategy " ? I suspect understanding that will help me understand the very large 32.5% yield ......And second the only GDX gold stock I can find is a 5 cent stock Goldex Resources Corporation ? Which I don't find encouraging for a purchase of GDXY . Could you elaborate on the relationship ? ..... Or if I have the wrong company point me in the direction of the right stock symbol ? .... Q: Good morning, Gold hit an all time high today and its up all day. But the GDX, AEM, and ABX went the other way into negative territory. How is this possible , can you please explain?? In August of 2020 when gold hit $2060 for a brief moment , GDX, AEM, and GOLD hit all time highs and today they are 40-50 % lower .

Q: Good morning, Looking at the chart of GDX the last 5 yrs the ETF reached yrly highs on Aug 6,2020, May 18,2021, April 18,2022. Those dates matched the highs in gold price and the gold stocks. So the price of gold , the miners stock price, and the GDX moved together until 2022. Since then the GDX is moving in opposite direction to the other two and reached a new low last week when gold is at an all time high for the last 3 months. Can you explain ? It appears that the GDX is sold short daily and keeping the gold miners stock prices down artificially .??

Q: Hi,
I am wondering about whether or not replacing stocks sold for a tax loss strategy is prudent, or not. All of the above listed stocks are at a loss in a taxable account. I am looking to offset a large profit that occurred in July when a number of stops were hit. The loss on GSY and SBUX is not terribly large, and so if it is deemed these stand a good chance of rebounding in the early part of 2022, then I may decided to keep them. In selling any of the stocks listed, are their replacements I could purchase that would likely add some growth? The alternative being just wait out the 30 day period and repurchase the strongest of the list. Your thoughts and suggestions would be most appreciated!
