Q: Hi folks, loved the report on DOCCKS with stats...just wondering how OTEX/t got added as you show 1 year Rev E at -8%, & 1 year EPS E is -12%....been a choppy 2024 & few years for Open Text, with regularly missing Q estimates....what did 5i like about Otex to include it in Canada's version of "Mag 7"....thanks, jb

Q: Hello
I noted in one of your responses that Brookfield Corp pays dividend in USD.
If so, do we have to hold the stock in USD Currency, in order to receive dividends in USD ?
Also, are the USD Dividends received from Brookfield Corp, eligible for Canadian Dividend Tax Credit or the dividends have to be received in CAD, in order to qualify for the Tax Credit ? ( So, we should move the BN to CAD side of the portfolio ? ).
Thank You

Q: Further to my question on the merger of this company, what happens to my canadian stock in this company. Will they be automatically be transfered to the new US company PRMB, or will I have to advise my broker to do this transfer. Also if I just want to sell my canadian stock in this company can I still do it or is it to late.
Q: I own these 2 stocks in a non-registered account. Can you please tell me what the trading status of these 2 stocks is and if they are still viable businesses. If it was you, would you continue to hold them in the hopes of a turnaround or write them off and take the loss.
Many thanks

Q: Dividend rates - stock seem to be popular when they have a high dividend rates . A stock paying 4% making a payout (will say quarterly), pays the 4% then the stock drops 4%, so what you get on one hand is taken away on the other. Basically, a growth stock would be a better play than a dividend stock. Please give me your opinion.
Q: One member, Auftar, mentioned that they plan to keep BCE and Telus in their soon-to-be-converted RRIF portfolio because the high dividend yields from these stocks will help manage the RRIF withdrawal rate. With BCE and Telus offering dividends of 10% and 7% respectively, assuming no cuts, these stocks can provide a solid return for annual RRIF withdrawals.
My question is: Is holding high dividend stocks in a RRIF a good strategy in both stable and volatile markets? Even if my portfolio value drops, I will still receive dividends for my RRIF withdrawals each year. Am I correct?

Q: Any idea when A&W is going to confirm new dividend amounts? Are they supposed to be the same or similar?
Q: Are there any articles in your Bloomberg library or other sources that would be a good read featuring an unbiased { good luck } analysis of what the protectionist policies amount to be implemented in the USA may lead to ? I would love to know how this can possibly avoid spiking the rate of inflation.
Thank you
Paul

Q: I sold LMN on recent earnings/comments and the bump up in price. I was thinking of replacing it with TRI as a steady growth stock. What do you think? Any other ideas already own KXS, DSG, GOOG, AMZ, CSU, TOI. Also surprised TRI is classed in industrials. T Steve
Q: With the U.S. election behind us, and the increase in stock markets, what would you purchase today ? IWO or IWM ? Would you start a full position today ?
Q: Hi 5i
With reference to member S's questions on Nov 05....What is AC's current valuation?
Given 5i often talks about momentum in the market do you think AC can maintain current momentum?
Would 5I be more inclined to sell into the momentum..... and if you were hanging in what SP would you re-access that decision?
Is there some influence from US airlines potential bankruptcy, eg spirit airlines?
Not trying to pick top but looking to understand better the current push in share price.
thx
