Q: Can you please provide your analysis of whether AI software developments will negatively impact the businesses of OTEX and ENGH? Both companies seem solid, reasonably well-managed, and pay nice dividends to compensate for their low growth. Should I be concerned that their revenues will decline over time such that my retirement income will be in jeopardy? Should I move on to a more stable dividend payer, for example FTS, that is less likely to be hurt by AI?

Q: I am not particularly proud to acknowledge that I own the above- but I do. ENGH and OTEX are in accounts that are structured for income and some growth, while DSG is in an account that is looking for primarily growth. Canadian traded is key for all. Looking for your input on these companies and whether there are better options that I am missing.
No hurry to reply; deduct credits as necessary.
Seconding the comment today regarding your recent report. Well done and I hope that now you have it you continue to update it as companies come and go. It is a great resource.

Q: Hello Team 5i & Everyone,

I am just reading through the AI report - thank you! I was wondering why internet and broadband aren’t mentioned as a foundational layer to the A.I. buildout?

Customers in remote areas can’t access AI without access to high speed internet continuing to expand (within Canada & globally). Just curious on your take.

Q: With regards to 5i AI special report is there any advice for members as to where to start. There are a lot of companies in your report. Q: With most software companies in a bear market, assuming AI is not really going to destroy all software companies, doesn't make this environment good for acquiring software companies (while valuations are lower)? Does the market believe that the AI companies (Open AI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity etc.) will replace all enterprise companies? I really don't understand what is happening right now to CSU, LMN and TOI. It seems very irrational. Your thoughts?

Q: I sold T in December for a tax loss, hoping to buy it back however the stock has risen by 7-8 % since, so would lose on the exchange.
I have since been looking at HME and was considering replacing T with HME in an income account. I would take a little hit on the yield however I think it would be a safer holding re-dividend safety and possibly a better growth profile.

Your comments please on this approach.

Q: Being an 80myear old income dividend invester and needing to take a position having no material sector amounts, I am looking at CHE.UN and NTR. Please suggest an opinion on which to choose or should I just take a position in both? Alternate suggestions would also be considered in the material sector.

Q: I'm having difficulty deciding which of the listed losers I should dump and move on. I find it easier purchasing equities than selling them. Which one of the 3 (or more) would you ditch and what is your rationale?
On a side note, I'm a 30+ year long hard core self directed investor and appreciate the service you offer.

1) I feel that the materials sector will do well in 2026, do you agree?

2) If yes, which of the above etf's do you think would do the best given market conditions, their holdings, etc?

Do you have any individual stocks you would recommend in the materials sector that you think would outperform the etf's?
