Q: You seem to like Covalon a lot and I wonder what you are seeing that it might be worth investing in.
It looks to me that their product line is not very diversified....and a Chinese copycat could easily move in.
If you had a choice between COV,KXS or CLS what would be your pick be in order without looking at sectors?

Q: Hello Peter/Ryan & Team,

I do need to apologize to everyone about CLS. I decided to finally buy it so naturally the 12% decline the next day would happen. But I have smartened up and only started with a quarter position.

And you would think that I should start to smarten up about buying into negative momentum, but with that said, do you think I should be adding in the next couple months to get to a full position or wait off until momentum improves?

Thank you for all you do.

Wes

Q: Hi Peter, I am looking for a growth replacement for CLS and it can come from any of your portfolios. Please suggest your top 3 or 4. I already own PHO, PUR, TV and ZCL in a 29 stock portfolio. Time frame 1-3 year hold.

Many thanks for your candid advice. It has served me well for over 4 years now and I have renewed my membership for 2 more years.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
Thank you for your past analysis of these two separate companies. I now have another dilemma. FLEX has just had a great quarter and the stock has hit a new 52 week high of $18.01. TD has a TP of $21.00...so all looks good. On the other hand CLS just had a miss and weaker guidance...being punished today...at $13 plus. You have said the story is still intact and they should improve. So... on the one hand I have FLEX which I think I could call a value play vs CLS which I will call at this point a more contrarian play. So in light of there fundamentals going forward which company has great appreciation? In other words is it too late to buy FLEX...better value with CLS in the long run?
Thanks for your opinion...

Q: I'm looking to establish a position in the tech sector. I'd prefer something with a reasonable valuation, good growth prospects and insider ownership. I see on BNN today you recommend both CLS and ABT. Are either of those a fit for my criteria or would you suggest something different?

Q: I am trying to replicate the Growth as well as the Balanced Portfolios. I have funds to add two half positions and the 7 stocks listed are the only stocks I currently do not hold. Which would be your top 2 picks and what is the rationale.

Many thanks

Q: Just looking to perhaps enter a 1% position in a well diversified portfolio of 1 of the above based on current weakness. Would you rank best growth potential and which to enter into?

Q: Hi, There are a number of stocks in the 5i balanced portfolio that I don't have yet. If I were to buy only three from the following list, which three would you pick for its growth and its value? My portfolio is well diversified so the sector allocation isn't a big concern:

GC, AIF, BYD.UN, CAE, CLS, PKI, SYZ, or GSY, PHO, ECN,

thanks

Q: Howdy!
I try to be a buy and hold investor with a long-term investment horizon in my RRSP account.
I have recently joined your service and am thinking about trying to reposition my RRSP account to emulate the sector allocation in your Balanced Portfolio.
About 30% of my portfolio is sitting on cash /cash equivalent investments right now; and I have almost 0% in the Technology and Basic Materials sectors.
As such, would you recommend a position in all of the nine equities that represent the Tech and Basic Materials sectors in your Balanced Portfolio?
Or have some of them (like CCL.B) peaked /not as much room left for appreciation compared to when first bought?
