Q: Hello,
My mother, who is 72 years old, recently received an inheritance. She is looking to invest this money in her TFSA and would like to use it to generate monthly income while also aiming for some growth. Could you please suggest a few ETFs that would be suitable for achieving these goals?
Thank you,
Derek

Q: Your recent comments about FSV fundamentals have been quite positive and yet the share price continues to decline. Is it possible (ie likely) that this has something to do with the changes to the capital gains rules? If so, what would be your approach?
Q: Hello Peter,
Other than Jason Donville's negative comments on Propel, could the insider selling be another reason for downward movement of the stock. I do find it surprising that insiders sold quite a bit, at much lower than the peak price. Could this be due to the stock options being vested on that particular date? I would appreciate your comments and thanks for prior responses. Here is the site i am referring to

Q: Sensor stocks - what is your assessment in this area, which stock(s) do you like in this sub-sector and how do they stack up investment-wise against your favorites. In other words, is there anything here worth pursuing?
Q: what did you make of bns quarterlies? This stock has been a laggard for over 10 years and dividend increase yearly does not even keep up with inflation. They usually increase dividend this quarter [albeit very small] but this quarter have kept dividend the same . I realize they pay a 6.5% dividend but as a shareholder you would like to
see a rising dividend yearly especially if price has done nothing for years. What do you
think as a dividend investor.

Q: I I am embarrassed to ask this question: I notice the share price fluctuates between $50.00 and $50.24. Is that just a function of the monthly payment? In other words does one need to time purchases? I am sitting on a ton of cash and want to earn some interest (right now sitting in cash in my rrsp earning nothing).

Q: What is your current opinion of BCAT? It has been around for approximately 2.5 years since the last question you’ve had and seems to be growing well despite its incongruously large upcoming dividend.

Q: I have some cash in my RRSP to invest for a long-term hold. My primary goal for these funds is to add income from a higher dividend-paying, large and stable company. I’d also like some upside on capital appreciation although not the primary focus. I’m looking at these companies and I’m open to other suggestions.
Could you please rank these by the potential to increase the dividend over time?
Could you separately rank by potential capital appreciation?
Finally rank by stock price volatility
Much appreciated

Q: Dear 5i team.
Debating which utilities are still good value, now that there has been a bit of a bounce over the past few months.
I'm considering cpx vs npi, but happy to hear if you think other names have more in the tank as these two seemed to have recovered in lock step.
Many thanks for your help.

Q: I am finalizing RRIF portfolio focusing on safety and yield. I am trying to decide between Canoe Income fund and SLF. Performance-wise they look similar to me but with EIT having a higher yield. I would value your advice on selecting one of these unless you have an even better suggestion then that would be welcome as well. Thanks for all you do! Dan
