Q: I want to add some consumer stables stock to my portfolio for diversification in my taxable accounts, both Canadian and US. I would appreciate your comments on the Canadian stocks. What would be the US eqvilants and how would you rank them.

Q: Clarification please on the Sept 19 question on "valuation" of these 3. It was stated "AQN's valuation at 12.4x (ACOX at 8.3x and CPX at 7.6x)"

What measure do these numbers refer to and are they forward or TTM?

Q: It looks to me like a lot of stocks are trading at very cheap valuations, so I have been wondering about takeover candidates. One of the stocks I hold, Neo Materials, just announced a shareholder rights plan in case of a low ball takeover attempt. You mentioned OTEX a couple of days ago as a possible takeover candidate, but that has been the case for many years now. I know it is impossible to predict accurately, but I am wondering if you could point out some TSX listed companies that you think could be take over targets/candidates because they are now trading at such cheap multiples.

Q: Hi Team,
I was looking for a list of some beat down, quality names in this carnage with robust potential, to hold my breath and buy some more shares for the long term. Names that have the potential to recover and continue climbing higher, once the market normalizes (whenever that may be). 4 names I was thinking of were either NVDA, SHOP, WELL or TOI. Which of these would be your top choice for the highest return potential over the next 10yr period? Do you have any other names in mind which you would prefer or the ones I listed? Thanks

Q: In my non-registered account, I have had small holdings in MRG.UN and NWH.UN for years, as well as larger holdings in ZRE and FIE. I was wondering if I should consider selling all four and splitting the proceeds between GRT.UN, CAR.UN, CPX, and SLF. I am looking for income but would also like some capital appreciation.
What do you think? Note that I also hold ZRE and FIE in my RRSP and plan to keep both in that account. Thank you.

Q: Hi
I have asked you about these four companies before .
All have since dropped even further .
i know Lundin had a sink hole by one of its mines .
for the other companies is it just the market or i there a reason for the continual drop in price.
Should i be selling these stocks

Q: I keep hearing that the demand for cobalt, a necessary component in batteries, is under threat because of the development of a much less expensive substitute. If so, it appears that cobalt investments should be liquidated.

Q: Nouriel Roubini (Dr. Doom) is forecasting a hard landing for a 2% inflation target rate with the S&P being off by as much as 40% and referred to the levels of debts of corporations and governments.

Even half that is nerve racking. Can you please give your thoughts and opinion on the matter?
