Q: Thanks to Peter, Ryan and the 5i Team, my portfolio has recovered from the Tech Wreck of 2022. Much of this is due to my holdings in Nvidia and SMCI. I have been trimming some along the way up, but Nvidia is now over 12% and SMCI is over 6% of my portfolio. This time around, I'd like to hold on to my gains (unlike in 2022).

My questions are: What "sleep at night" ETF or stock might you suggest to put some of my profits into (sector doesn't matter)? Also, what percentage of your holdings would you be comfortable with SMCI going to?

My pension covers my living expenses, so I am able to take a little more risk.

Thanks,

Brad

Q: Hi there, can you add anything to the AI conversation regarding CTS?

How is CTS involved with AI or in supporting the use of AI using Nvidia product?

What is expected of CTS when it reports next week?

Is it fairly priced now based on preliminary numbers provided?

Are institutions and insiders now buying again?

How much stock has been purchased now by CTS to cancel, last year plus this year?

Thanks!

Q: I am wondering what you think the risk is with nvidia vis-a-vis the tensions between the US and China. My understanding is that nvidia's supply chain is heavily based in Taiwan. Should China overtake Taiwan, what do you think the impact would be to nvidia? Are there alternate sources elsewhere worldwide (considering supply chain constraints)? Presently, the US government is restricting what nvidia can ship to China and I must assume that China would probably reciprocate should they take control of Taiwan. Your thoughts are appreciated. Thank You.

Q: A recent comment of "But we do prefer higher-growth companies" than LNTH, which companies would you be referring to?

Thanks for your service!

Q: Its likely this has been asked before but I couldn't find it... Besides the big guns NVDA, MSFT etc what smaller AI players providing the picks & shovels look good forward ? Which ones would make good targets for the big guys ? Thank you.

Q: Hi Team,
Now that NVDA earnings have completely proved the markets “fear” going into the print completely wrong ; what’s your take on the stock going forward ? Continued momentum? Buy, trim , hold ? The way it looks to me comparing valuations and insane revenue growth rates NVDA might be on its way from #3 spot to eventually taking over both apple and Msft as largest company. Do you see this as correct? The crazy thing is AI is just getting started. Seems like a huge market for NVDA going forward with many countries that haven’t even touched the surface of getting started. I don’t want to sound overly bullish but looking at the future of the world dynamics with digitization of everything this seems to be the future . This being said ; there will be massive demand for data center infrastructure. What companies are the best to play this ? HPS.A seems like data center infrastructure will be a big area of growth for them . Your thoughts please , Thanks.

Q: Hi team,

Which of Netflix and all in the Magnificent Seven do you forecast to have the best growth this year and in which order ?
Would you at the same time risk to forecast the % of growth ?

Gratefully,

Q: Hi Peter and 5iresearch team:
In your answer to Gerry's question on Feb 16, you mentioned that CSU and ATB have been the best Canadian compounders over the last ten years. You added DOL, BYD, TFII, BN, CLL.B, TRI based on historical performance and you are expecting LMN.V, TVK, HPS.A, TOI, GSY to be potential Canadian compounders in the future.

1. Would YOU still invest in CSU, ATB, DOL, BYD, TFII, BN, CLL.B, TRI with the same conviction and weighting?
2. Could you please provide a similar answer but for the US market? Please provide 10 or so best US compounders based on historical performance that YOU think investors should keep investing in and 5 or so US companies that YOU would buy as potential US compounders in the future.

Thank you for the great service.

Q: Hello, I recently sold my rental property in 2022, and I now have funds sitting in the bank, earning interest. My ultimate goal is to invest this money wisely and create a portfolio that can serve as an inheritance for my loved ones. I am currently in the process of assembling a collection of high-quality stocks.

For me, the presence or absence of dividends is not a decisive factor when selecting stocks. Could you kindly recommend two top-performing stocks in each sector of the global market? These core holdings will play a crucial role in achieving my long-term financial objectives.

As of now, I have already purchased shares in NVIDIA (NVDA), Meta, Intuitive Surgical (ISRG), Alphabet (GOOGL), Canada: Goeasy (GSY), Nuvei (NVEI), Definity Finacial (DFY), Boyd Group(BYD), Thomson Reuters (TRI), Aritzia (ATZ), and Nutrien (NTR).

Thank you in advance for your valuable insights.

Q: How would you rank these four in terms of 1) current valuation 2) safety of invested funds (kind of related to current valuation I guess) 3) anticipated investment return over the next couple of years and overall quality of investment - ie. if you were to select only 1 or 2, in what order would you invest considering the overall quality/valuation of these companies? Thanks.

Q: I own 3 of the big 7, Apple, Amazon and Nvda and manage the positions for weighting. I would like to own Microsoft and/or Google. Please suggest if you think it's necessary to expand to one or both of these, and if better to have a half position in both, or full position in one or both considering the other holdings. Thanks!

Q: Hi 5i. on SMCI

In a previous answer you said "It will do its thing and find a 'level' (whatever that might be) where volatility starts to abate."
Could you hazard a guess at what that 'level' might be - just for fun of course.

On a slightly more serious note - do you think momentum will drive this UP or DOWN in the short term (days/weeks) (and how about 3-5 years) ?

Thanks

Q: I know you continue to like Nvidia and other Semiconductor names, but don't you think the SemiConductor space is getting a bit Pricey. Given that this space is considered somewhat cyclical, would you wait for some of these stocks to cool down or would you buy Nvidia for example, based on continued momentum.

Thanks
Tim

Q: If this is too broad a question, please feel free to decline. If you were to start from scratch today, with a goal of maximizing total return at 10 years regardless of income/growth/dividends/distributions etc., which stocks would be on your list?
