I have read all the negative thinking about QST. However from your point of view are the reasons you bought it still relatively valid. If so this could be a great buying opportunity for a contrarian. So all factors considered is it still a buy?

In a recent question about QST you said that you still believe in the reasons you bought it and are not selling.

You dropped coverage of QST 5 years ago.

I see nothing in the fundamentals that looks promising.

Could you expand on the reason you are still holding?

In January, evidently like a number of others, I thought QST's prospects looked promising and bought in. Now I'm down considerably. CFRA rates it as a STRONG SELL and I haven't seen a more optimistic opinion anywhere.
Are QST's prospects really, suddenly, so bad that it should be sold ASAP to prevent even greater loss going forward (although selling would mean somebody is buying at this price, thinking to make money) or would you recommend waiting through at least the next earnings report, or two? I don't need to sell, but I've held on to some sinkers in the past waiting for the turnaround that never came and I'd prefer to cut my losses and avoid going through that exhausting exercise again here if the odds are that QST will remain a sinkhole..

Q: I am looking at what to do with cash in my TFSA once cash from PHO is available. (nice gain -thank you !)
Shown below are existing positions in my TFSA that are in negative or small positive territory. My portfolio has a good weighting in tech, so staying in that sector not necessary. Q: I know you do not usually average down on stocks. That said, you do seem to like both QST and U:US. I am underwater on both and we appreciate your opinion here. Thx.

Q: Thoughts on QST's earnings. Buy, hold or sell?

Q: Good morning! I have a question on investing knowledge in general, and the companies mentioned above are what I will use as my personal example... because I’ve read from the team at 5i that it doesn’t make much sense to hold out on a loss. Please by all means correct me if I am wrong, example: I bought into SU,(I am -28%) and QST, (I am -60%). XBC (I am -59%). This doesn’t bother me nor does it cause me any financial suffering to hold, and I know there is no magical answer... does a young man ride it out and just wait patiently? I love SU AND QST before the pandemic and still enjoy their presence in my portfolio but here I ask myself this, am I missing gaining opportunity in the markets? My money is sitting negative, slowly, slowly coming back, where a I could suffer the loss and get to work else where? Thank you!

I hold the above companies in my TFSA and would like to make the portfolio more concentrated for better upside potential. If you were forced to cut three positions and add the proceeds to any of the existing holdings, which one’s would you choose? Long term growth is the only objective.

Q: PYR is down 38%in the last moth, I'm still up 45% , JD does not seem to be going anywhere ? OKTA I am up over 100% and thinking of selling and taking the profit. These next ones, I'm simply down on: APPN -38%, WPRT -40%, QST - 38%, PAT -72%, AT -51%, PLTR -38%. What would you do ? Buy, Sell or Hold. Thanks.

Q: Hello, I need to liquidate some of the stocks listed. Disregarding sector diversification, in what order should I do this? Thanks for your help.

Q: Regarding their year end release. I noticed they have a cash balance of 16.3M which increased in 2020 despite the terrible year. This is almost 1/3 of its market cap in cash. How positive do you view the ability of this company's ability to weather the storm in 2020 and be diligent enough to increase its cash position. Looking for your thoughts as I am getting more inclined to increase my weight slightly as a spec play. thank you.

Q: Any concerns over the CFO resigning today? They had announced a strategic review. Do you think they are for sale? It is still in the growth portfolio.

Q: Quite different companies but if you had to own one, which one? What are the prospects for each going forward? Which has the most upside?

Q: I have half positions in the above equities. Would you add to any or all of them? In what order would you add to them?

Q: I have lost confidence in XBC and plan on selling my position. I am considering Qst as an the alternative. Your thoughts please.

I have new money to allocate. Which ones of these are your favorites for 5 year + hold notwithstanding they have different risk profile and in different sectors (best overall risk / reward. I am underweight small cap). I already own KXS and ENGH but i could add to existing positions. Thank you!
