Q: Hi Everyone at 5i! The market has surely been a rollercoaster ride over the last few months. I have 40K US to deploy and am looking for a solid growth stock or two with a good moat. Right now might not be the time to invest but I have time. Do you have a few stock suggestions for me for now or in the near future? Thank you , Tamara

Q: Hi Team,
I am wanting to buy both VEEV and DOCU as both long term growth plays, and to play into their current momentum. I don't have any free cash right now, so have to trim from a couple other stocks to do this. I was considering trimming half of my SQ holdings to buy DOCU, and trimming half of my TWLO holdings to by VEEV. Do you see any issues with these moves? Also, being that VEEV and DOCU are in high momentum right now should I wait for a pullback or would it be OK to buy these at current levels? Also...do you see VEEV and DOCU holding up after this covid scare is gone, or do you see risk of these momentum stocks falling on their face once the virus scare diminishes? Thanks for your advice!

Q: The financial people keep on saying they are looking first at the company`s Balance Sheet. Therefore which, Stocks have the strongest and best Balance Sheet? Also, include US stocks as well as Canadian stocks, because I do hold both.

Q: What are some of your favorite US growth names right now? I am a younger investor with some money to deploy. I have a 20+ year time horizon. I am not too worried about sector allocation due to having a defined benefits pension when I eventually retire (20+ years).

I am also wondering what US stocks 5i staff are currently buying and why.

I recently sold my business and have 10+ years before retirement. I now want to deploy this cash to build my retirement portfolio, I don't need any income from this portfolio for 10 years.
I carefully reviewed your Balanced and Income portfolios. With much improved valuations for many stocks in these portfolios, what are your suggestions for 10 best (in terms of possible appreciation) individual stocks or ETFs for a non-registered portfolio. Either from your sample portfolios or not, US or CDN.

thanks as always for your level headed thinking. I have a number of CAN dividend stocks as the core of my holdings. I now have cash that I want to deploy over the next couple of months. what are your top 5-10 US stocks (no regard to sector) that you recommend based on a 5 year hold.

As more more and more people are working from home, cloud based software companies, cyber security companies will benefit as I think this will become a new reality as companies realize they can save money. In Internet communication and hardware companies out there that will see an increase of their services and products are there any names you would recommend? I thank you in advance. Sam

Q: I would like to sell subject 4 companies, unless your advice is to hold because of much near term growth potential.

Q: The rest of the software sector has recovered quite nicely with many testing new highs but VEEV seems to not be participating. Any thoughts? I thought that software combined with the medical space would be a big winner but it seems to languish a bit (do realize that it has done well over last year)

Q: AYX, OKTA, TEAM, TTD, TWLO, VEEV

It's clear that software stocks are taking a heavy beating right now. Are there any concerns for recovery and continued growth at the companies above? What sort of expectations might you have for the above stocks down the road at the 1-year, 3-year and 5-year marks?

Q: Please comment on the impact of recent US China tariff & Huawei development on these stocks. Which will suffer long term adverse effect ? Most come down a lot on May 20. Thanks a lot.

Q: I asked you about the earnings on xlnx yesterday and I see the questions and answers today on this company.

I have a somewhat significant loss after today as I’m into it around $130 per share on 3,000 shares but fortunately I have gains in Veev and Five that outweigh the loss on xlnx. I tend to hate owing anything at a loss as I lack patience and I worry about a turning of momentum. I don’t know whether to do nothing or sell one or more of my other holdings and go home with a profit and my tail between my legs. May I please get your advice? Thanks I’m advance.

Q: Do you think Veev is a buy or sell at this point? I have a small profit and don’t know whether to take it or hold on and risk losing it on a pull back. I can’t decide whether to sell it or buy more. Thanks.
