Q: Hello,
Does the brief rally followed by a pullback that these four stocks have just experienced carry any meaningful signal, in your view, is it positive or neutral?
Thanks

Q: 6 weeks ago you said this: "While a correction could happen anytime, we aren't really expecting giant problems. There is cash on the sidelines, rates may move lower, and investors have shown excellent resiliency in the face of all sorts of global issues."
Have you adjusted your opinion given the state of the world?

Q: Not a question but rather an observation: please don’t knock down legal regulated businesses that lend to people that can’t get loans like people with assets. I can get an interest rate that the poor people can only dream about.
Otherwise they would have to borrow from loan sharks in the underground economy.
I get enormous benefits from credit cards points but that is really on the backs of less well to do cc users.
One very well known head of state always was treated like a VIP by most banks. Was that justified? Look where that got us.

Q: between the 2 credit card companies, which is presently the better buy. my metric is present dividend yield compared to
5yr low, 5yr high, 5yr median and
10yr low, 10yr high and 10yr median.
Please provide me those numbers.
Do you have an opinion about a different or more insightful metric to consider?

Q: Would you be comfortable adding today despite the current noise related to the energy sector? Would you have a recommendation on price for entry? Noticed weighting on this in your GRO portfolio is at 6.17%.
Thanks,

Q: Hello 5I team: Caught between a rock and a hard place with this one Feel I should have know better than to hang on so long. Now at 34$ am down 70% .So if I sell their will not be much capital left to make up for this loss any time soon.Do you feel this company will come back and a hold makes any sense in this context. Thanks Larry
Q: I entered this week at a quite low price ,but it keeps droping daily ,and is now around the 52 wks lows. Your impression( hold ,buy, sell), will be very appreciated ,my goal is " no major speculative risk + time frame more than 8 months" ,many thanks..

Q: Really a question of safe low growth dividend stock prices. All these utility stocks are at 52 week highs. Are they worth it at these prices or are they simply a place for people to hide out until Trumps latest crazy ego trip comes to an end. Thanks

Q: Hi,
I'd like to get a better return on the Cash sitting in the Canadian Account. I don't want to lock it into GICs now as I would like the flexibility to use it until I get a better sense of where we're going with all of this. I looked at CASH.TO Global X High Interest Savings ETF and HSAV.TO Global X Cash Maximizer Corporate class ETF. Mgmt fees and MERs are lower on CASH and the yield is a bit higher but it has tax implications whereas HSAV has slightly better performance and deferred tax. Once our taxes are filed there may be a bit more contribution room left in the TFSAs but it won't be much.
Any opinions? Any thoughts on what I can do with the US Cash?
Thanks!
D

Q: ACO.X: lots of debt., very low ROE and seems fully valued - Morning Star. I don't see much to make this a buy for the long-tern. What say you? At all time high maybe because considered a HALO stocK?

Q: Hi Guys,
you answered a question of mine the other day asking for suggestions for smaller cap O&G companies that might have greater upside potential than the larger mid and large cap producers.
you came back as follows:
HME, SGY, KEL, BTE, ATH in that order. Would that be your order of preference?
If not, could you rank.
Merci,
Ralph

Brookfield Corporation Class A Limited Voting Shares (BN $54.37)
Q: Good morning and thank you for your amazing insights these days .
Question regarding CNQ and BN. Two completely different sectors, but given the appreciation in CNQ in recent weeks, and the corresponding pressure in BN, I have been slowly taking some CNQ off and moving more into BN. Both are core holdings for me, but your conviction with BN is impressive and I just think it is foolish to not take small gains off the table and move more to BN on the view that this too shall pass - for both companies.
Crazy or a fair approach so long as measured?

Q: Morning 5i,
I have done well with MDA in a TFSA account and would like to sell half and place the proceeds in a name or two (or three) that will benefit from Canada's recent emphasis on defense and both economic and northern sovereignty, as I believe these themes are both real and durable. Do you agree with the thesis and, if so, could you please provide a list of the names you think best placed to benefit from Canada's recent dramatic change in national philosophy?
Thanks 5i,
Peter
